Unable to initiate Thaumaturge quest: "Way of the Thaumaturge"

1.Speak with Yayake
2.Only two action options appear: "Triple Triad" or "Small Talk". Even when backed out of the text, no option appears to initiate the class quest.
3. Attempt Triple Triad Challenge with Yayake.
4. Regardless of the outcome of the Triple Triad Challenge, initiating conversation with the NPC (Yayake) yet again will then reveal the class quest (Way of the Thaumaturge).

Have you checked to see if you have a soul stone attatched? In order to do strictly Thaumaturge quests you cannot have the Black Mage soul stone equipped. I had the same issue with a Conjurer quest as a White Mage. Hope it helps
