Sorry if I was unclear? What i meant was that having it "break" when we removed it is fine (for anti-theft) so long as they make it available to us through the calamity salvager should we need to break it and re-buy it ourselves.
It's an anti selling real money things for game money thing. They make it get destroyed on pickup to try to prevent players trading it to others. Say, if you share a FC house, and both have housing privileges, one person could place, and the other person could pick it up, as a form of trade. If it gets destroyed on pick-up, this does not happen.

If they needed to make it destroy able as an anti-theft mechanism, then they shouldn't have made it a furnishing, simple as that. I'm sure it would have sold well as a minion or a hat or an outfit, but it's scary spending that kind of money for something that you could lose so easily. And I don't like the whole "if they have housing, they'll stay subscribed to log on and keep it" idea, because we shouldn't feel forced into staying subbed when we want to take a break, especially in the case of things outside of the player's control preventing access to the game.
You can still just sell the code before using it though... >w>()It's an anti selling real money things for game money thing. They could have sold the plushie without any bonus.

You buying a RL plush that comes with a bonus code, you not buying the in game item itself for $30, I doubt the price would be any lower even if they didn't include the in game item as quote below stated.
I see what you're saying, but that isn't going to stop people from buying a plushie for the code, which we all know is often the case. It's basically arguing semantics. Whichever of the two items holds the most value to you is the thing you're ultimately spending your money on.
Greetings,
Thanks for pointing this out. After investigating this we found that there was an error in the description for the hatchling lamp and it has been corrected.
This item will not be destroyed upon removal; however, the owner may lose access to the furnishing under the following conditions:
- If it is removed from the estate by another player.
- If the owner leaves, or is discharged from, the free company.
- When losing access to a shared estate.
- In the event that the estate is demolished.
We apologize for the confusion this may have caused.
