Info: Server response time "Lantacy Fix"

    ISP: T-mobile broadband

    PC spec: Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit SP1
    AMD Phenom 9600 Quad-core Processor
    4.0GB RAM
    Nvidia GeForce GTX 460

Ok I don't have any problem just the info I like to share.

So what can you do with this information?

    Server IP Lindblum: 202.67.48.247

Using the windows command-line utility (cmd.exe) you can ping the server by typing "ping 202.67.48.247" and hitting enter.

You'll get feedback looking like this:

Click here Server ping rate info

Done this test in the evening time.

Ms stands for milliseconds. 1/1000 of a second. Lower ms = faster connection. I for example took an average of 330 milliseconds for a round trip sending 32 bytes of data.

NOTE: Neither a server ping or traceroute are a concrete 100% gauge of how good your connection to the server is. A number of factors can hamper your connection such as downed lines, network traffic, connection type (Cable vs ADSL, etc.), firewall settings. The above methods will give you a general idea of how your connection fairs.

Keep in mind I did use cfos speed program to lower my ping rate more info on my youtube Channel.

    Sever IP will be different

ok I found out more information on the server IP with a helping hand of a friend 100% accurate.

    Also did "ping -n 100 202.67.48.247": min 290ms, max 292ms, avg 290ms, 0% loss
And I still have horrible delays ingame. Almost no random disconnects lately though.

I got about the same pinging results from work on a Fiber connection. It ranged from 12%-18% packet loss every time. This was done during the day. This is not threw cox, i believe its Verizon, not 100% tho.

I'm no expert on these type of things but packet loss is usually considered a bad thing right? I do seem to be getting lag ingame, usually when I go into the vicinity of crowded players or NPCs. The game freezes up to loads NPCs. Although this might be a computer related issue..

Is there anything I can actually do to improve my connection with the server or is this simply just a case of living too far away from the server? I did hear SE will be improving the servers next year. Long wait to get a lag-free experience out of this game.

Yeah, the lag isn't on your end sadly.

Even 380ms would be ultra fast compared to the current situation. I think the general lag is somewhere in the 1k-2k ms range.

I mean, it sounds bad but its still 0.4 seconds at worst. <250 ms would probably be optimal for this game, I think most people can get there. I live in Finland (6-7h difference) and I get 250ms or so.

Yeah your right about that. The lag kicks in 1k-2kms

I use cfos speed to lower my ping rate you can get a trial to test it out anyways, I have done alot of test on the mobile broadbands dongles I have.
