It depends a lot on playstyle and sect you use the most. Diurnal sect lowers the need of stacking spell speed, which means you can stack more crit and det. Nocturnal adds healing potency, so you can lower det to get more spell speed. Ideally, you should see the slots with spell speed options and use the piece with no spell speed when using Diurnal. Piety works like accuracy for DPS: get enough to match your needs for each duty and then stack different stats.
