Can we get a benchmark for the new graphics engine when it's done?

I just happen to remember you released a benchmark for XIV before it was released, and considering it will be a while before the new graphics engine will be released even when it's done, could we get another one for the new engine as soon as possible? Shouldn't be too time-consuming if you just port the current cutscene, or would it? I want to see the changes asap and in real-time!

    It doesn't hurt to ask!

This. I am curious if the PC I built to play FFXIV will still be sufficient for 2.0. Benchmark would be quite nice to remove any concerns.

Yeah, it'd be fun to get a sort of sneak peak! But more than that, it'd let us test our friend's computers to see if we can get them to play with us... >.>

The info about the graphics engine says it's being designed to be much more efficient and tweakable so it will be able to run on a much more wider range of PCs.

I agree. Want to know what I'm in for before I spend another cent. If my comp can't handle it then I don't want to invest any more time.

If you can handle the current game you'll handle the new one perfectly fine. They're not going to exclude their previous audience.

I'd still love a benchmark, the FFXIV one was finicky at best at actually showing you if the game would run well or not.

I think they are making the new engine a lot more scalable and in real-time, "flexible" if you will. Think CoD or Battlefield 3. Those games can run on anything between the weakest laptops to the best desktops around, and you can set them to change the graphics quality seamlessly and instantly based on your FPS. Think what you will about those 2 games, but their graphics engines are pretty damn cool the way they work performance-wise! I hope SE follows suit.

I'm worried that my PC (which barely plays FFXIV) won't be able to play version 2.
