Unless it gets retconned that's just a monument commissioned by Francel. There was indeed a NPC who said Haurchefant is not actually buried there.I stared at that so long trying to decipher it after 3.0 and thought it said Haurchefant's Gravestone, but that didn't sit right with me. One thing I've wondered is, is that his actual grave? They refer to it as his monument and I thought one of the npc's said something about his body not actually being there.
Maybe it's just another title?A once demeaning nick name that eventually became a term of endearment, especially between him and Francel.
A knight to remember also says Haurchefant "Greystone", could it be a localization thing? or a way to prevent spoilers? It's awfully odd.
This patch felt like one last homage to him before we delve into other things (i mean christ, Francel at his monument, the minion, shield, his mention in the MSQ, the painting and so forth.. my FC is calling this the Hau-patch with the amount he's in it) Maybe the odd last name will be snuck in and be explained/mentioned by an NPC in the next patch or something? I went to Camp Dragonhead and chatted up every living being and there's no mention of "Greystone"
Hey guys,
Just popping in to remove all ambiguity: Greystone is a bastard surname. That is all. Carry on!
I think it's pretty sad :/
His friends and family who obviously loved him would surely want Fortemps on his grave?
Can we have some sort of Ysayle monument/grave btw? Moenbryda has the tree at Rathefrost, Ysayle has nothing...
You COULD argue since she became a primal that, like Louisoix, only her physical form ceased to exist so in a way Ysayle, Louisoix, Thorden, and The Heaven's Ward are still alive.
Moenbryda and Lord H are perma dead.
