    Absolutley terrible input response in Ifrit battle

    Between the animation locks, and your character not being where you actually see it on the screen, AND the fact that actions are locked for upwards of 15-20 seconds after the cooldown is over, what the hell kind of testing was done on this fight?

    An end-game battle that depends on precision player movement and placement, and our characters are not in the same place on our screens, as the are registering on the server, and actions that we can't even use, until we get lucky and it arbitrarily allows us to finally use them.

    I think the battle itself is awesome, i think the inplementation - as seems to be increasingly the norm- is awful and amatuer.

    The same that was done on the PL system and loot distribution for chests in strongholds and Ifrit.

    See, SE doesn't just want XIV to crash and burn, they want it to crash and burn in a 1980s action movie slow motion.

    I did ifrit fight 8 or so times last night not once did i notice freezing of character animations etc...... maybe a poor PC performance problem????

    Yes the claiming system is not working right.

    The loot system for these fights/chests is good and bad. Maybe instead key items should be introduced so everyone gets a fair chance at a drop of there choice instead of the Mage only player gettin a ifrits sword and axe while everyone else gets shit on for there hard work.

    Only really bad problem i have noticed w/ Ifrit fight is GLA cant hold hate for shit even when others take measures to ensure they can. Enimty is not working well from an action standpoint and mages in general gain way too much enmity even when they try to hold back and use -enmity abilities.

    Even people with good PCs are having a hard time. It's a client to server problem, it's used to help fight RMT, so they say.

    They even did test, using two good PCs and the delay response was horrific. In one screen the character was moving in a circle, the other, was five seconds behind and running around in triangles because the client was trying to catch up with the server.

    There are obviously ways to cope with it right now but it's still a fundamental flaw that desperately needs to be addressed. Please abolish animation lock. I don't care if the initial fix results in sliding across the floor like when they first removed the lock in the active/passive animation. Gameplay comes first, SE.

    There hate system is perfect the reason why your GLD can't keep hate is because your mages dont have Enimty- Materia's equipped along with your GLD having Enmity+ there system as in battle is pretty much great they just want us to use the Materia system to make us as Yoshi-P says as Gods of the game materia really puts an advantage to gameplay

    I really hope a Dev can respond to this, I myself am dying while not even standing the fire pits on my screen....Im not even mentioning the horrible loot system..but this issue really needs to be addressed

    You're doing something wrong. Do you have accomplice? Are you using Cadence and Riot Blade? Self-healing with Second Wind II? Is your group just eating silly amounts of damage and curaga spamming more than anyone could hope to hold against?

    I have been caught a few timed by Ifrits charge move even though I was nowhere near his field of view.

    Gladly SE are looking into fixing the server issues, I can only hope that this won't occur when they are finished fixed the issue.

    There is also an issue with MP not regenerating at all during the fight which needs to be addressed.

    You absolutely have to /sit in order to regenerate MP during the battle. If the other mages can handle keeping the tank and DPS healed run to a point VERY far from Ifrit and /sit so that you don't get caught by a surprise Eruption or other AoE effect. I learned this from experience (fought Ifrit 6 times in one night). MP regenerates pretty quickly when you /sit so hopefully this will allow any mages that need a quick /sit MP Break to be able to get back to the fight very quickly. Be sure to /sit in a safe place preferably as far as necessary to be out of range of any of Ifrit's AoE attacks because if you are sitting you will not be able to stand fast enough to get out of the AoE of whatever AoE Ifrit is using.
