Is this Eorzean typo ever getting fixed?

I noticed this immediately. The writing clearly doesn't read "knowledge seeks no man." I don't know if seikis means "seeks" in another language, but it was really weird.

I don't know if this was intentional or not? Dev response maybe?

If you spell the first word doesn't it come to knawleghe ?
I like to think the language is spelled closer to the phonetics of the accent they might have used <- not based on any facts, just my imagination.

That's probably true since I get the impression that Eorzea doesnt have a 100% literacy rate.

Clearly, the best Final Fantasy character is Locke Cole.

Which makes more ridiculous since this is the motto of a country of scholars and having a misspelling like that is all the more glaring. I'm betting that Seikis is a word in an Eorzean language (Like what is used for Roegadyn names) or that someone hired an outsider to do that monument

Knauleche is apparently an archaic and obsolete spelling of Knowledge, so I would assume that Seikis is the same for Seeks.

Also notable is that one side says "no man" and the other says "no wimman"

New Lore Bomb; Sharlayan is a country of dyslexics!

You know what's weird? I now can't help but see the word "share" in Sharlayan (Shar[e]-layan[d]?), which makes some of their national polices fairly ironic... Likewise, Idyllshire has always struck me as Idle-Shire, which is fitting given the players use for the area...

Mottos in English-speaking countries often draw from Latin renderings (my school, for example, used a Latin phrase which was easily understood by those who didn't speak Latin even though the spelling was different). Isn't it likely that this is the same kind of thing, and the text is based on some older saying which Y'shtola converted to modern Eorzean for the benefit of her travelling companions?

Idyll is already an English word so I don't think the 'Idleshire' thing is anything other than a player joke.

Google has a scanned book called The historie of Scotland, Volume 2, that includes seik, meaning 'seek', and seikis is a form of that.

Suddenly those bagpipe like sounds I keep hearing in Idylshire's music make more sense
