Costume Contest and Party! (Excalibur World)

Do you feel it in the air? The minions of darkness stir and the woods are playing host to their revival. In other words, Halloween is just around the corner and the Gridania Squatters are hosting a Halloween Costume Party! Want to come out in costume and have a spooky time with the squatters? We’ll be having a Costume contest, a Short story competition, mini-games with mini-on prizes (Rumor has it that Gestahl and the Mandragora gang will be making an appearance along with other rare minions). The Costume contest winner will take home no less than 2 million gil plus their share of the participation fees.

In other words, the more people that come the more people that participate, the more prizes for everyone! So if you feel like it, bring the friends, bring the family, bring a date. But whatever you do, don’t forget the date.

Friday October 30th, 2015 at 6:00 pm PST (US and Canada) in the Haukke Manor courtyard. We are charging 50k to participate in the games and costume contest. This also covers the short story contest so if you plan on attending don’t worry about a separate charge for each event. All proceeds will be split between the winners and spent on prizes for mini games. For the costume contest (The main event) 1st place takes 40% of the total pot, 20% to 2nd and 10% to 3rd. The winner will take home at least 2 million gil plus a rare minion as well as their share of the fees guaranteed by the event hosts! Charging for an in game party lol No thanks. If you're doing it for fun then do it for fun and not include gil into the equation. On top of that you can't stop randoms from going in there and messing with w/e your event is.

Never understood base cost charges in celebrations, feels like Chinese weddings where they expect you to pay them money to attend to celebrate THEIR wedding.
