Please consider dropping PS3 sooner rather than later.

As the title says, please, please, please consider dropping it before the rumored 4.0 expac, as things are going it's only going to hold the game back more and more with each 3.x update and QoL updates with its outdated tech, you have given PS3 players many chances to upgrade as to not get left behind.
It just needs to happen sooner rather than later, because once you cut support for it you can improve the game much more, I know am not the first to say it, but I would like to remind you of it.

The game can be improved graphically and its gameplay mechanics if they drop PS3. PS3 really holds it back. PS3 users had a huge free upgrade campaign which got extended too. They will be able to focus on improving the overall game away from the PS3 limitations and also further improve the PC client, PS4 version and the mac version.

They'll probably drop it when they stop profiting off of PS3 only players.(subs, people STILL only purchasing the ps3 version, etc)

No, at least not soon. Migrating from ps3 to pc/ps4 is not always feasible even if someone can afford them financially. I think, 6 month notice is a reasonable period.

Free upgrade ? Not everyone can afford a PS4....

PS3 being left out won't happen before 4.0.

That would depend on the choices they make I suppose, if they decided to merge each separate nation into one large area it would cause problems for PS3 users. In the end it would be simpler to just end the support as then you wouldn't have PS3 players complaining that they still pay for the game, and that they can no longer access this area, or a specific item can't be displayed on their system, or they added a UI feature that wouldn't work with PS3. I don't know though, and I'm not even sure if they've finalized that decision.

well there is one way to get peeps to buy the ps4 and that is to start excluding ps3 users from future expacs... seriously that will get the fire under there buns to realize that the ps3 is on its way out.
