Final Fantasy XIV has stopped working

So I had the day off today and thought I would finally go ahead and update my system to windows 10. Everything went fairly smooth, until I tried to play the game. The launcher came up, I put in my password and one time use password and clicked on play and a window popped up and said that ffxiv has stopped working. I have tried numerous things like making sure my graphics card is up to date, turning on and off my antivirus ( I use bitdefender) I uninstalled the game and re-installed it only for the same message to pop back up. I turned off and on windows firewall to see if that would do anything. I'm really at a loss because all my other games are working like normal. I tried League of Legends, Rome 2 Total War, Civilization, and even booted up SWTOR to see if that would play...All of them work. I don't know what the issue is.

This is the info from my event viewer.

If anyone has any ideas that would be great. I guess if I have to I will just revert back to windows 7 and see if that fixes the problem. Everything else about the update to windows 10 seems to be perfectly fine.
Thanks for any help anyone may be!

So after trying a bunch of stuff last night and not getting it to work, I just reverted back to windows 7 this morning and the game started right up. Still don't understand how every other game I had on my pc would work and this wouldn't but at least it's working now.

I've been having crashes myself, started with "Display driver has stopped responding and recovered." I did some of the troubleshooting and the recommended setting changes, but now I get "FF14 has stopped responding" crash. Also managed to get a BSOD when I opened the in-game support.
The weird thing is, none of these crashes are consistent in any way, I've gone days without, then 3-4 times in a row, changing zones, sorting retainer, or even just logging in then trying to type has set off a crash.

I opened a support ticket, hopefully It's not my system since it's a new build.

    Dx11 client
    Windows 10
    Gtx 980
    i7 4790k
    16gb ddr3 2400mhz

All my software is fully up-to-date, even updated bios trying to solve this issue, but so far nothing has helped.

Going to windows 7 isn't an option since I don't have it, I only have retail windows 10 since this system is only 3 weeks old, I don't have issues in any other games.

That's strange Gashen, I really don't have anything I could suggest to try. I wonder if it has something still to do with Windows 10 itself, however the majority of people using windows 10 probably arn't having problems. Nice build by the way, really nice system you got. I'm thinking about building one myself here soon. I actually play on my Asus G75VW I bought about 2 years ago, I miss having a gaming desktop though. I hope that support ticket you opened up helps. I didn't have your problems as the game wouldn't even launch for me.
I had my fingers crossed when I reverted back to 7 and I'm so happy it started right up like normal...

Good Luck, Maybe someone else will be able to give you some ideas!

I'm at a loss for the most part, I ran Heaven 4.0 Extreme preset 1920x1080p for about 4hrs without any issue, played some other games as well, but anytime I come back to FF14 I'll get a random crash. I'll update once I get a response from support, if it's something in my system the sooner I can RMA parts the better. But I can't get anything else to crash my system, making it very difficult to tell if something is wrong on my side or the game itself.

"Faulting module name: unknown" is a bit weird... Can you check the Event Viewer for other crashes and see if those have the same?

Alright, after contacting support, I was told they do not current officially support Windows 10, though the game may play, it's not guaranteed. The only support they could give me was to have me once again re-install the game, which was a challenge because I kept getting some sort of errors. So I once again uninstalled and started from scratch without issue. I'll update once again if my issue is resolved.

    AS for errors I've received.

    BSOD x2

Event Viewer FF14 There are a bunch of other errors, but I don't know which ones would be relevant. At this point It could just be something in my system I just have no way of knowing because the only crashes I have are on FF14.

Have a strange issue right now, for some reason the game colors look washed out if on fullscreen, but the look better on Borderless Window, wondering if one of my settings is wrong somewhere.
