    The Great Library

Hello again, voidsent fellas of the loc team!

A while ago I opened a Thread with a request to have a true library in Eorzea, something that I've been thinking about for quite some time. As it's more a request Topic, I opened it in General Discussion, also because I'm not sure you visit that section, but if you've a moment to read it, please go to the hyperspace here. *cough*And maybe you might use your voisent powers to ask the lore-masters to actually introduce such a content.*cough*

Anyway, I'm opening this thread here to ask something else. In the article Materia: A Matter of Mistery, a Great Library was mentioned:

others speculate that it was born of Near Eastern wisdom that had long slumbered within the ancient tomes of the Great Library

With all the heat in Ul'dah in the last month while trying to meet Kipih, Petyr and Dural (without success ), the nutcracker squirrel in my head might have messed up something, and I don't remember if this Great Library was actually mentioned before this time or if it's a familiar name just because of my trademark word “Great” always rolling in my head faster than the quirrel itself.

Yeah, I would like to ask questions like: Would it be possible to know more of this place?

Or: And what about the “Near Eastern” area it's located (if I understood correctly, that is)? Is it in another continent, or is it always Aldenard, meaning that it might as well be in Garlean's ground? Referring to “Near Eastern wisdom”, as Garlemald is in the east.

But, if it's too much, I'd like to know if there're at least plans to have more Lodestone posts or quests in Eorzea on this matter.

I know it's a hazard to ask such questions *casts Stoneskin to protect against a possible Seismic Scream*, as there're no other info on this secret Great Library (or at least I'm not remembering them at the moment: if other adventurers do, please enlighten me), but, as we all know the localization section is number one , I thought it was worth a shot.

And for your information, my expression when I search and crave for more data on lore is like the one of a deceased Cursed Eye (yes, my tongue looks like that):

So I'll look forward to know more, even in the far future if now is not possible.
And of course, I hope my other request in General Discussion will be taken into consideration by Yoshi-P & company, as I'm sure being in such a library like the one I'm imagining with a balcony/garden would be a dream for every True Eorzean.

    Thanks for reading!

I'm not sure if the LOC team has any power over what goes INTO the game, I think they just get to choose what it says and what it's called. But if they actually had the opportunity to tell the lore-lords how positive of a reaction they get whenever they enrich the lore with encyclopedic histories and descriptions, I'd recommend it.

To give it a foundational basis - cutscenes and quests are our main source of lore, but often times, we're so caught up in getting the quest done, achieving the reward, or not holding up our party to TRULY take that lore in. There's a lot of enter mashing at times like that.

This is not only a great reason to add in a library of sorts, but also why we absolutely need an Echo NPC (Current-gen Goblin Footprint). I mean, they're looking for time-sinks aren't they? Do you have any idea how much time I'd kill reading about the game's lore and rewatching my cutscenes while waiting for parties or taking a break between mindless craft grinds?
