Suggestion: Winter/Spring/Summer/Fall seasons in Eorzea!.

I would like to make a suggestion and it's that I think seasons would be an incredible addition to this already great game, having Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall affecting Eorzea would make it so much better, you could make it so that each season lasted for an entire month (Earth time)!.

I just would love to see Central Shroud covered in snow and I don't mean anything like when Odin appears but like Cohertas itself, also it would be awesome to see all other regions in different seasons, it would make the experience so much more dynamic!.

I hope you can make this simple wish a reality sooner rather than later!...

The weather effects in this game are really fantastic but I've always wanted to see them do accumulative weather and seasons as well. A few MMOs out there took it upon themselves and it worked out rather nicely. I hope some future zones will be designed this way as well.

Having winter on Thanalan area is kinda... weird i think? (I already have experience having snow on Ul'dah when Christmas and it's really weird for me IMHO)

But unfortunately i think something like this would probably be at the bottom of their to do list, as amazing an idea as it is.

It couldn't be that simile to add I think but nonetheless amazing. Though I think different regions should get a different impacts like no snow in Thanalan or it's not like Ice can melt in Coerthas, maybe put some leafy elements here and there during spring?

That's a great idea! But from a lore-based standpoint, the aetheric shifts/imbalances of the Calamity has already offset much of the Eorzean climate. That's why Coerthas is locked into Winter (it used to look a lot like Garuda's arena, partially snowy), and the Drybone area gets a lot of rain. Then there's of course places like Mor Dhona, and what used to be the West Shroud (apparently it's so decimated/crystalized that there's just no reason to go there. Besides Second Coil, that is.) So regular weather/season patterns aren't exactly plausible.

They sort of did this with the housing areas having snow during the holidays. Unfortunately, none of it ever reached the ground for that true wintry feeling.

FFXI had this. The trees in certain zones would change their colours and drop leaves.
