I note in the extensive listing of proposed new recipes the following:
(i) only one existing recipe - that of copper ingots for ARMs & BLMs - is to be made obsolete, and
(ii) while a number of items are specifically stated as not being part of new recipes, you've indicated that the items of older recipes will instead be renamed 'dated', but the recipe will still exist.
Which brings me to the topic of nuggets and earrings.
(1) I love my bling! - Earrings are made from nuggets, yet your listing implies nuggets may be getting phased out altogether in future and I couldn't see any adjusted recipe for earrings. I did see the listing for earrings sold via npc has the names of the earrings being sold as 'dated', in line with the outdated current recipes.
(i) Are earrings being phased out?
(ii) Or is it just that you haven't been able to adjust the recipes for them as yet?
(iii) Or will nuggets remain, but will a more limited application in future (e.g. for the creation of fine jewellery, such as earrings )?
(iv) Is it possible that, while the ingredients for making finished items has simplified, you might still be looking at expanding the range of jewellery further?
(2) Hoarded nuggets - I initially assumed that the older recipes from which greater numbers of produced items are obtained from base materials (e.g. the old ore ->nugget->ingot recipes compared to the new ore->ingot recipes) would be phased out. After all, what's the use in introducing new, limited ore to ingot recipes in order to adjust the economy if the old recipes are still around and players can still use those older recipes? But then I noted that you've stated the only recipe which will be obsolete will be the copper ingot one for BLMs and ARMs. So...
(i) Will the existing ore to nugget, and nugget to ingot recipes still exist?
(ii) If so, will the ore to nugget and/or nugget to ingot recipe ingredient ratios also be adjusted to align with your vision for the economy?
(iii) Basically - if I still have a few stacks of nuggets hanging around in my inventories come the update, am I still going to be able to use them for anything? And if so, will that use be restricted in any way from the current range of recipes given your stated intention to adjust the mechanics of the economy?
I had wanted to primarily query the proposed recipe updates, but while I'm here there is one or two other continuing queries I'd also like to get off my chest.
(3) Further Accessorising - namely bags (or alternatively bum-bags, or backpacks). We have weavers and tanners all over just looking for an oppportunity to expand their range of offerings, and we also have 'pouch' slots on the paper doll going unused. I'd really love to be able to buy an Auburn Canvas or Red Leather handbag to go along with my Auburn Canvas synthesis gear, or perhaps blue canvas to match my gloves and shoes. Have you any plans for the future, along the lines of releasing a range of handcrafted bags for the discerning, accessorising, fashion-concious Adventurer? Or perhaps releasing bags specifically catering to Adventurers with more inventory-thirsty jobs, such as DoH and DoL jobs?
(4) Green Thumbs - I know that culinarians have been voicing their displeasure at the lack of love given to their craft. I was wondering whether you have any plans to allow us the option of mass-producing our own ingredients through farming? With the recently introduced settlements, it seems to me there is an opportunity for Adventurers to hire planting plots from the NPCs in those settlements, and to hire the NPCs to tend them for us. Not all plants grow in all areas, of course. Some plants would require particular environments to thrive, so which settlements to hire plots from would be a question. So anyway, any future plans along these lines?
P.S. Thankyou for removing pink dyed clothes
