My crazy theory where the story is headed. Someone please poke holes in it for me.

We are a Warrior of Light, blessed by Hydelen which gives us some pretty sweet powers, plus we have the Echo.

We now know that when the calamity happened, Louis sent us 5 years into the future. Not everyone else, just the Warriors of Light.

Now I'll just be blunt.

Crazy Theory #1: I think we are primals. I believe we weren't actually time warped as I'm not sure that exist anywhere else in the game as a known possibility. I think Bahamut's tempered Louis (or the real Louis' aether, whatever it was) lied to us.

1.0 story at the end revolved around Louis gathering massive, massive amounts of prayers and aether to combat bahamut and the Warriors of Light to help.

I believe we died in the calamity. I believe all that aether from when phoenix and bahamut and the 12 all went boom rained down and combined with the entire world's prayers for the Warrior of Light to save them and eventually gave birth to us.

In the level 30 titan quest chain you find out that it took HUNDREDS of mortals to slay Titan. Hundreds, if not more. We could do it easily, sure. Thanks to the blessing of light.

However midgardsormer seals away our blessing. We should have been pretty darn mortal, yet we go on to slay Bismark and Ravana, two of the most powerful gods yet, like it was a Tuesday night and we were bored.

Then there's the whole scene where we slay all 12 primals (the knights) at once and Thordan looks at us like we're nuts and goes "WHAT ARE YOU"

Crazy Theory #2: Light and Dark are just two sides of the same coin. Mirrors. I believe the Ascians are the Dark version of the Scions. I believe the Warriors of Darkness shown in the final cutscene to be coming are coming to do what Warriors of Light/Dark do best, slay primals. . . us.

I'd really like to see the final battle of this xpac be where we play as our WoD counterpart to fight our primal-selves. The next expansion will herald an Era of Darkness (which isn't a bad thing, it's always gone back and forth). I believe we'll continue the game as our WoD counterpart which is functionally identical anyway.

First plot hole not all the players are from 1.0 the 1.0 players do not ride into the city in a chocobo carriage. We appear in the same area that derplander does in the movie that plays if you allow ARR to idle at the stay screen. Secondly, the new 2.0 non legacy plagues become the warrior of light after saving thancred (is more of a title than anything else)
Next you can still combat the primals even though the blessing was sealed due to the Echo which you still have that didn't get sealed. Which is shown in heavensward even worth all the crystals sealed.

Even to point out during the ifrit fight he tries to temper us but due to the Echo we can not be. The only time the blessing of light shielded us was during the fight against lahabrea and hydalen said it was out sword and shield. Basically we were tempered by hydalen before bit her tempering did not make us a mindless mess as the primals do for she still allows free will to some degree

That's not an issue imo. That just means were a generic primal summoned and not in the specific image of the original WoL. We're still a primal WoL. The people didn't pray to Steve the Warrior of Light, they just prayed to the Warriors of Light!

They weren't praying to the Warriors of light then they didn't even know or call them warriors of light until they were presumed dead and couldn't remember what they even looked like. All they could recall was their faces being blocked due to a great light and momondi (from my cut scenes) said it was as if they were standing with their backs to the sun and no one was ables to recall their faces due to it. The legacy 1.0 players finally do get remembered after rescuing thancred from lahabrea possession. Hydalen helps them remember minus Cid and minfilia who one never forgot and the other remembered on his own.

I've always held the belief that there are multiple WOL who survived 1.0 events PLUS the sole 2.0 wol. Game mentions the 1.0 players as WoL (see Merlwyb's talk with Limsa players) AND it also speaks as if there is only one dude crushing primals left and right. Its rather confusing, though. Maybe the 2.0 WoL is a primal of the 1.0 players' desire to keep going?

I played 1.0 the legacy players get added story to the msq ie the whole story line for legacy is during 1.0 we were adventurers who were there for glory. We got that then the garleans bought down dalamud on us to destroy everything. At the battle of cartenau we fought and we were losing. louisoux was summoning the power of the 12 to confine Bahamut which failed and he then sent us to the future

It wasn't until after that they were called the warriors of light due to people not remembering them

The "We are all primals" thing has been tossed around before. Could be. Why does everyone most poeple) like us so easily? Hey! I just met you! And this crazy! But be my Envoy, and save us all maybe!. Primal influence.

That they called us Warriors of Light after the battle has no bearing on it, it actually helps explain the 2.0 players. The Eorzians couldn't remember us and thats why there are so many and different. But the of course, there is always the whole, you are the warrior of light and everyone else is just another adventurer.
