As first reported in The Monk Temple Reborn thread (http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...Reborn/page198) the mechanic of The Forbidden Chakra does not seem to activate off the global cool down as fast as it has been before the June 30 Hotfix patch. Mashing the button a few times will either not activate it at all or will activate roughly about 2/3 into the global cool down. Since its inception, this has certainly not been always the case and given it's lengthy animation it shouldn't be overlapping our ability to hit abilities on the global cool down.

Same here. Seems to happen more often in instances.. Makes me have to repeatedly hit it for it to go off. ><

Thank god it wasn't in my head. Was out killing Chimeras and was noticing that I had to spam Forbidden Chakra for it to go off but by the time it would, animation lock would dig into time towards GCDs. Was working fine with weaving between combos yesterday but after patch been buggy. At least I'm not alone.
