How to fix DX11 crashing if you have Nvidia cards

I'm no expert but sometimes I know it is from SE end. From the last patch before stormblood until its release for some reason I went through a phase that I would crash 2-3 times in a space of 1-2hrs. Since stormblood it went back to normal again. Although I still get the odd crash that I guess can be "normal" for a mmo. I have a GTX 980. Never really had any problems (only those weeks with ffxiv) with any other games.

Did you try changing your Video port? if your drivers and direct X are up to date I changed mine from HDMI to Display Port No problems since then. Depends on your GC by the way and monitor.

I had the same issues here. Had all manner of graphical glitches and such with the 980 Ti after I updated to the latest drivers and was scratching my head as to why. Rolled back my drivers to the previous version, haven't had a problem since

Question... This may seem a little unusual but what CPU are you running? The reason I ask is because i had the exact same problem with a single gtx970 then dual gtx970s and then on a gtx1080 (at which point I concluded it wasn't my gpu). I have since switched from my AMD FX 8350 to an Intel i7 7700K and have been perfectly stable since.

For those still being plagued with Dx11 crashes. Try downloading MSI afterburner and lowering your Core Clock speed by 25. This was suggested in the tech support thread and has been the one thing working for me so far. Additionally, I bumped my Voltage to 70. Still need to do some further stress testing but I didn't experience a single crash after half a dozen dungeon runs, Omega normal and savage whereas I haven't made it out of Savage for weeks without a crash.

I would say 9 times out of 10 people think their OC is 100% stable when in fact their OC is causing their crashes and they for whatever reason don't accept it as a possible issue.

step 1 Power config > change advanced power settings > PCI EXpress > Link State power management > setting off.

step 2 If Nvida card you need to nvidia control panel > global settings > power to max power\performance. don't know quite where the setting is as I am at work.

No issues after that.
