Black screen when exiting the game.

Did a little bit of research. Saw that this has happened in the past sporadically to other people but was fixed by patches.

It happened to me after installing and starting to play Heavensward. I have never experienced it before. The game hangs on a black screen when I exit it, and I have to CTRL-ALT-DELETE and open task manager to close the game. Is anyone else experiencing the same problem? I can give my system stats if needed. Thank you.

This started happening to me too. Not every time but sporadically. Sometimes it goes right away. Other times I have a black screen with an arrow and CTRL ALT DEL is the only way to get it away after that. *shrug*

I am still encountering this after the official release, hope tonight's patch will fix the issue.

happening to me too... and after i ctrl alt delete, it comes back and theres a freeze frame of some shit i was doin like 5+ mins ago lol. weird.

Ever since the 3.0 patch and using DX11 i get this every single time the game closes. It's a black screen and in the middle somewhere you can find the cursor changes back to the Windows one where the "end task" box is hiding. This was most annoying when we were getting the 2002 error which closed the game down or in this case crashed it constantly.

I've been having the same issue since day one of the early access, and it was still happening after last night's most recent hotfix. It occurs every time I exit the game from a world log-in, but not when I get booted before logging into characters(from that occasional lobby search error since 3.0). If it matters any, I'm on Win7 64-bit with an i7 3770, using DX11, 16GB RAM, and a GeForce GTX 960 GPU.

Yeah! Me too. When I closed yesterday there was a still of me from actually nearly an hour before standing in front of my FC house but I had logged out Limsa *shrug*. Its very strange.
