Suggestion:DRK darkside aura effect

i think the aura like effect is a too much glow occupying a wider area. it can be bothersome because it can glow affecting other nearby characters. if i may suggest, please make the glow much more condensed to the character. the glow is so wide based on my observation. you can also create a small burning like effect in the dominat hand or arm. i really like the glow effect you brought in, it just annoying if you see many DRK darkside state in the future with all those glow occupying the screen.

Yea i thought the glow effect of Darkside was a bit too much. It doesn't really add anything and could be designed to be more subtle. Having a visual aura is fine but as it is now, it's just all over the screen.

I support this suggestion. Its a good one.

Also maybe this is something only I encountered but when pulling large groups and aoeing them with unleash its sometimes hard for me to notice enemy aoe. Maybe I will get more used to this but right now I get hit more often then usual. Maybe there are more people with that problem.

More importantly, the aura needs to start obeying the "Battle Effect Settings" in the character configuration menu. I have that option set to show *no effects* for people outside of my party, and yet everywhere I go there's the aura effect from random Death Knight's filling my screen. It's particularly annoying when you're talking to an NPC and there's a DK idling right next to you. I want to see my character when I play.. not the effects from a random DK filling up the view.

the idea is good to form aura like effect for Drk, however, it is not appropriate to see such effect in a calm city with so many glows appearing. graphic wise, it is good but they could limit the glow to respect other players presence. the design is not good for non drk users because it is jsut annoying. FYI gm please consider

I would much prefer if it was something more subtle like glowing red eyes, similar to when you first met Fray or if they want to go the easy route just use the dark aura that shows up beneath his feet before he succumbs you to darkness to hear the voices. The assets are already in the game so why not use it? What it is right now is honestly very cheap looking and very distracting especially in fate parties where all you see is glowing red people everywhere but it definitely needs to be toned down.

I can get on board with this. Using it for the first time, my immediate though was "Mmm, that's a bit much." The aura around the feet or maybe a footprint idea wouldn't be too bad.

I'm actually thinking this is a bug, due to two facts: 1) the aura is unreasonably large, like 4x times larger than the character, and 2) it doesn't obey the battle effects settings. I bet we'll see some info about this from SE before too long.
