Personal Airship customization?

Just wondering: We've seen that FC airships have interchangeable hulls/sails/balloons, etc., and that it will effect the airships performance.

Do we know if this system includes the one-person airships?

I'll be disappointed if they act just like normal mounts, and have no customization options like chocobos.

The personal air ship (if you mean the one seater) is just a Mount.
Craftable personal air ships might come later (i hope they will) but i did not hear anything about them yet.

The only craftable airships we know of so far are the Free Company airships. They're basically like glorified retainers though, going out on sorties without player intervention. Seems a pity, since I would have liked the ability to explore my own ship and journey on it. Granted, it's not exactly a feature which would add gameplay, it's just cool and fun to ride an airship sometimes.

I almost miss FFXI's airships... then I remember the number of times I missed one by a hair and screamed at my screen. So, maybe I won't go that far.

They stated that they would increase airship function and what you want is supposed to come with patch 3.1.

I'm SOOOO disappointed that airships are drones - glorified retainers. What a cop-out.

it is wayyyyyy back, you're not follow all the news. I can confirm that Yoshi said later in HW, player will be able to ride on the airship to explore & encounter various thing (include your airship crash). Can be done with FC members or hire other player (I believe it is party up)
