Kingdom Heart characters?

I thought it would be interesting if perhaps some Kingdom Hearts exclusive characters made an appearance in Final Fantasy XIV. They do after all put Final Fantasy characters in Kingdom Hearts, so why not vice versa? Though granted, Kingdom Hearts is a rather light-hearted game compared to Final Fantasy's usually dark undertones, so that might make things a bit awkward. Regardless though, it would be interesting just to see what happens. XD What do you guys think?

Edit: Well thinking about it, Final Fantasy XIV also has it's moments of light-hearted events. They could hold a Kingdom Hearts event in a similar manner.

There was a thread like this posted earlier, I'll see if I can find it and update this post with it. But basically, I'll answer this one the same way I answered that one. Any original KH characters, Sora, Kairi, Riku, etc. are also licensed to Disney, so while not impossible, SE would need Disney's approval to use them outside of the KH series.

Yes I already knew this, but Disney hardly uses them and the attempts they had on using their licenses they canceled. So logically I would think Disney would have more leeway in allowing Square Enix to use them, and so I felt it wasn't necessary to address that. As for the post, I didn't see it so sorry about that.

No need to apologize, there are plenty of buried threads on here, lol. I am curious however. You said Disney canceled licensing attempts; I'm a bit confused on that. Would you be able to elaborate? Thank you.

They canceled a animated series idea:

They canceled another KH game in the past too, but I don't have a link to that. Basically, every time Disney came up with something KH related, they canceled it. They basically leave it up to Tetsuya Nomura to fill out the series. My guess is since Nomura created the characters himself, and they feel he would portray them the best.

Well I guess wanting to leave it to the experts makes sense, lol. While I can't think about anything on the 2 games, do we really need anymore, just give us 3 already, lol; the animated series look/sounds cool. Plus the animated series could still happen, once the current "story" has ended.

Also do you know what that other game was supposed to be about? If you remember anything?

Basically the other game was based on Maleficent being the main antagonist and having Sora going to other worlds, and it was meant to happen while Sora, Donald, and Goofy were going around on their gummy ship in the first KH game.
