To Yoshi-P: Can True Adventurers have more hints on special characters' appearance?

    Hello, adventurers.

I'd like to make a particular request to Yoshida-san, maybe atypical next to the others, but I care about this. This evening I went only a few minutes in Eorzea to write this, so if the community reps here would be so kind to forward it, thank you.

In the last weeks, ever since I heard of their appearance, I've been trying to meet these characters:

    - Kipih Jakkya

    - Petyr Winsome

    - Dural Tharal

The 3 new Game Masters-controlled characters that recently began to appear in Ul'dah. But this quest is proving extremely hard for the time I spend in Eorzea, that is not much, and in two weeks I couldn't even see their shadow. And if I can't meet one, I wonder what are the odds of meeting three...

The first time Legatus Nael van Darnus appeared I was... “busy” behind the brushes near Camp Horizon (toilet)... and when I returned, there were only his and his Tribuni dialogues, meaning no adventurer had spotted them or was interested in their appearance.
Previously I also had met with Urianger and he was speaking a different language.

As I'm very interested in Eorzea's storyline and in the recent happenings regarding the approaching Seventh Umbral Era, covering it all in my journal, I'd wish there would be a way to know when these special characters might appear... and not only in Ul'dah, for The Twelve's sake!

It's not that I don't like the desert town, but I like more Gridania and of course my home of Limsa Lominsa. Many adventurers built their settlements in Ul'dah and seem to have forgotten about their true city-state, but I certainly haven't.

A few days ago I was there in Limsa with a Miqo'te linkshell mate, Zhadis, gazing at the night sky until dawn, and that would have been a perfect time for one of those characters to appear. Yes, what I'm saying is it would be Great if they could somehow sense there're good-spirited adventurers nearby! [This means adventurers who actually care about them.]

What's a True Adventurer like? Well, I, for one, like to enjoy even the small things in Eorzea and not just getting “el super equip”, be it watching sunsets and dawns, or waving my hand to unknown travellers passing by in fields or, of course, being this much interested in Eorzea. It's hard to explain in a few lines... Anyway, you feel it if you are a real adventurer, and if you're interested in the lore, and thus in meeting these characters, chances are you are one.

On my World, Bodhum, where unfortunately I know very few adventurers of my language as interested as me in the story, I read on a couple of blogs that Dural Tharal appeared a few days ago, not saying much in his speech... but, even if I was glad two other fellow adventurers had the chance to meet him, that was morning time in my EU Time Zone...!
And anyway, even if he appeared in the afternoon or evening, I can't possibly stay (clueless) all the time near those stairs in Ul'dah (the ones on the left leading to the Gate of Nald, I set up camp there...), as I like to craft in other places and also do gathering and other things; in the last two weeks I've been there (and also by the stairs just outside The Quicksand) way too much in the limited time I spend in Eorzea, so, since in my opinion two weeks with no result is a lot of time, I decided to make this request here, also for all the other True Adventurers of Eorzea out there who are in Ul'dah trying to chat with them, really interested in this kind of stuff: if you're here, let 'em hear you voice as well!

If patch 1.19 comes out by September 22nd like many suspect, I'm afraid these will be the final days to meet those characters.
Let's admit it, these events are really Great and chatting with these characters is, in my opinion, one of the most entertaining and distracting things to do in Eorzea, so it's a shame there's no way to have at least a little hint on their next appearance, to full enjoy the story.

I was particularly interested to talk with Kipih Jakkya, so when I'm in Ul'dah I'll continue to craft near those stairs... although it's just a matter of luck if she and the other two fellows might appear at the same moment I'm there (and speaking my language), and I would like my two weeks of efforts to meet them to be rewarded. So...

    Direct Request!

    Dear Kipih-chan,

as you're a reporter of The Raven perhaps you'll read me here: I'm searching for you. A Great Reporter like you and a Great Adventurer like me surely will have a lot to talk, about Dalamud, the recently revealed new intelligence on Baelsar and Darnus, and more... I'll keep on waiting for you for many moons, in late afternoon/early evening (*cough*GMT+2*cough*), also in my hometown of Limsa Lominsa, just outside the Drowning Wench, where I sometimes go to breath some fresh air and stare at the night sky.
A good psych up in my Full Subligar Outfit – which I do at least once a day – hopefully will summon you to me!

    Sincerely,

Cloudio Onizuka, True Adventurer of Eorzea

I, myself, have been trying to get my hands on the full official english-localized scripts for the GM controlled characters all the way back to Urianger. Has anybody been keeping track?

    Gathered dialogues

They do appear speaking English, it's just all random... For instance, on my World I think the “settlement” of a French linkshell is near Pimelle, so in my opinion they should make these Game Master-controlled characters appear near those adventurers and have them speaking French... but also give other languages (and Time Zones) a chance and some hint.

    Anyway...

    Let's see...

    Urianger Augurelt

When I met Urianger he was speaking German, so I translated his two lines (when I arrived he was already there) on my Journal:

    http://lodestone.finalfantasyxiv.com...entry?e=198141

But doing a research I also found this post, that seems to have his official English dialogues.

    Nael van Darnus

I had a chance to question him and these are all the dialogues and answers I got from him and his two Tribuni: Journal entry.

    Kipih, Petyr and Dural

Like I mentioned above, Dural appeared in my World a few days ago. Here's the short script of an adventurer who met him: Journal entry.

There're other posts on this forum about these 3 characters, and mostly are translated transcript, but I think those are accurate enough. Here's a couple:

    http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...-Transcript%29

    http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...-Ul-Dah-Figaro

However, as much as I like to read the dialogues, the Great feature of this event is that they actually ask you questions and answer yours. Darnus & Co. had pre-set answers, so the fun part would be to actually speak and properly interact with them, a big step forward next to the previous event (that I really enjoyed nonetheless).
That's why I crave so much to meet them and would like them to sense if there're good-spirited (interested) adventurers nearby...

Oh well, I hope my request above and my psych ups will be heard. And now, back to my Limsa Lominsa and later to the stairs in Ul'dah...

I feel bad for people who end up missing out on these events, why not make this an actual quest?

    Last days?

Well, if patch 1.19 comes out this Friday with the new Dalamud-related contents, I guess this is the final week to meet these 3 characters on the current storyline matters...

One month of crafting mostly near those stairs in Ul'dah trying to find them, sometimes getting the local levequests in the other city-states and then Returning to the desert town (and yeah, I also crafted near the Drowning Wench of Limsa Lominsa like I said I would, impossible not to do it with the new even Greater atmosphere, but Kipih and company seemed to like only Ul'dah...), but no luck.

I hope in the future Yoshi-P will take into consideration my request to have this type of content appear in a less random way or – dreaming – when these special characters feel (see) a True Adventurer (again, someone who actually cares about Eorzea's happenings) nearby.

I've talked to 2 english GMs on Trabia so far.
Talked to at least 6 (I've lost count on exact number, it seems to be every other day) of the GMs recently as well (all 3 at least once)

And my playtime isn't that high lately but they're constantly popping while I'm in town lol

Oh, and I typically play around 7-11pm GMT+1 mostly do leves then afk in Ul'dah talking to LS mates while doing something else.

Last GM I talked to was at about 11:20 GMT+1 on Saturday night just as I was logging out (I had hit the logout button as I saw them talk)
So I jumped back on to talk to them since they were english xD

Maybe they consider you a wanted fugitive for your forum signature.

Well when speaking to a French GM (Kipih iirc) I did say I was from the Garlean empire and organising all of the recent attacks...
They then did /think on me and said "Your attire doesn't look very Garlean" And that was about it xD

And I just read your blog about meeting Darnus... That was the only GM I haven't met so far.
And funnily enough that was the one I wanted to meet the most
