Perhaps you can continue getting primal mounts (Bismark and Ravana) and once you collect them your kirin mount will get optional wings? Keeps theme to the mount (sort of).

Hope Sleipnir can fly.. lol, I believe the god horse is said to have been able to fly in myth (not that SE always sources a myth 100%).

In the Norse mythology Odins horse Sleipnir could indeed fly, but he also had 8 legs. So it's like you said; "not that SE always stay 100%"

Making the old primal mounts fly would somewhat diminish the benefits of the potentially new primal mount drops from 3.0 primals.

I'd LOVE a pegasus mount thats only achievable if you do a WHM quest like a the Unicorn

Kirin should fly cause it takes hundreds and hundreds of hours to get.

During Letter from the Producer LIVE Part XX, Yoshida mentioned that while it won't be ready at the launch of Heavensward, we do plan on making it so existing mounts become flying mounts, and this includes Ahriman, Kirin, Bomb Palanquin, and Logistics System. In order to make this happen, both takeoff and landing animations will have to be created for each mount, so this will be a gradual process. You can expect to fly with each one eventually though, so keep your eyes peeled for more information in the future!
