Letters from the Players to the Producer - Volume I

With the ever slow, but steadily approaching 3.0 Heavensward expansion. I think it would be cool if all of us players were to write a few words to show our appreciation, thanks and love to Yoshi-P and the DEV Team for taking a game/world/realm that was a torturous nightmare to level in, had a landscape that was potentially difficult to navigate in, and contain a storyline that was somewhat confused and disoriented into the Hydaelyn that it is today: A Realm Reborn. And so here is what I hope will be the beginning of the very first, and possibly more, Letters from the Players to the Producer.

*** Unfortunately, this post is only in English, but I had thought about posting this in the General Discussions section in the Japanese, French and Dutch forums as well. However, for me to do that, the only thing I could do is use google translate and I don't want to resort to that. However, if I can and do get this post translated, I would post it there so that players from that server will be able to join this too. If any of you would like to translate this post and post it on those forums and direct them thread, you are welcome to do so!

Dear Yoshi-P,

Greetings and salutations! I thought about starting a little something that involved writing letters in the forums to you so here it is! The very first volume of "Letter from the Players to the Producer". I just wanted to say thank you and to show my appreciation for everything that you and the DEV Team have done with FFXIV in making it become what it is today - FFXIV: ARR. The world never could have been what it is now without you and your team. I along with the rest of the FFXIV player base I'm sure would agree, when I say that, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you very much (どうもありがとうございました)!

As 1.0 player there were many things that I miss and reminisce about, such as, the Chocobo Caravans, Hamlet Defense, a few of old graphics and visuals, and especially most of the music that we use to have like the various battle music that played depending on which zone you were in. Some things in the 1.0 version weren't great but some were still pretty good. Though aside from the nostalgia of it all, there were a lot of good things that came with this renewal. Things such as: better tank enmity control, revamp of character actions, the mechanics of casting/using spells and skills (though I will admit, I did miss being able to cast a spell while running), maps that weren't copy>rotate>paste, and most of all... a better user interface. With 2.5 steadily approaching and 3.0 just beyond the horizon, I'm looking forward to seeing what new adventures the first FFXIV:ARR expansion will bring. May the future of Eorzea and the adventures throughout the world of Hydaelyn be greater and even more awesome. May Yoshi-P and the rest of the DEV Team continue to guide us forward in the light of the crystal.

Dear Yoshi-P and all devs/anyone working to make FFXIV possible,

I have not played many MMOs, as a matter of fact, I'd say this is the only one that I've ever truly put a lot of time, energy and money into. I am so grateful for this experience.

You have given me a world that I have fallen in love with, and I truly feel everyone is giving their all to make everything as great as it can be.

Thank you so much for bringing me this great game, I hope that I will be able to support it and be a part of this community for a long time.
