    Run and Hide DoL!

    Lol, as example: "Renders you undetectable by enemies".
    Has it not occurred to anyone? maybe I'm over thinking things, but, When are we going to be getting content with a risk and challenge?. no-challenge content is like for example "weaker monsters run away when you approach"... could this be next for DoL? I sure hope Not.

    you can only hide up to a certain rank above you. so it's not garenteed on all mobs. (dont worry you cant take a r1 and sneak by r90s)

    Yes, if we could "hide" from the Rainbow Basilisks, exploring would become a wee bit too easy.

    agreed, DoL needs harder content as (running and hiding) is Not Cool.

    This invisible ability works up until a certain level of mob and some mob will have true sight.

    That said you say "When are we going to be getting content with a risk and challenge?"

    What do you mean? What type of hard and challenging content can a gatherer have? Taking in account that they can't fight and you need to consider that not everyone has a battle class leveled.

    So again i ask, what do you suggest as a hard content with risk?

    If you think about it for a second there are tons of abilities for dol, beyond just running and hiding ... there are for examples: Natures Protection, Elements, Pacts, Warp, Resistance, Call Over, Trick, Range, Glare, Bulk-up, Transform, etc..

    also though the using of foods get the beasts out of the way or a method get cause them beasts to leave to another area temporarily. and there is always the method of "bribing"; if you fail to bribe it attacks regardless, but if you succeed it becomes passive toward you. Also use what you've gathered to survive; the problem is what we gather at present is for crafting, however, what if it was for survival to get those items.

    honestly i dont get why people think that a gatherer needs challenges such as battle. they are not a battle class and you can't switch classes when you realize that you have been aggroed, you're basically a sitting duck without some kind of protection.

    also with those systems you are suggesting: some imply that DoL needs to be similar to DoM/W, and some are to the exact same effect that the hide feature will have. regardless of wether or not these systems would work, are good ideas, or supply the "challenge" you are looking for. they are either not a resemblance of the DoL or would end up as the same function as hide

    Most importantly the "Courel Step" should not to be used only to evade undetectable by enemies but also to get closer enough to the monster and gather from it. hahaha of course this is me over-thinking again ^^* That ability is simply for running away and hiding and DoL will need a lot more improvement before anything more can be done.

    I think OP wants gathering to be more of a nuisance and a hassle, so there will be less people gathering. Less people gathering means less competition for him. Less competition means more $$$ for him. More $$$ for him means he can a boss.
