Hello Localisation (Yes! with an s because I am Australian! :P)
I humbly beseech thee to rectify a gross misunderstanding by so many brave fledgeling shields of meat, who mistakenly believe, due to the vagueness of the script on thy tool tip, that by drawing the enemies attention on an initial pull with Provoke they shalt be guaranteed maximum hatred of their being, and that they are ensured permanent attention of said vile beast without any further action needing to be taken.
The tool tip simply says:
Gestures threateningly, maximising enmity in target
I am unsure as to how else this could be worded, but the number of tanks I party with in lower level dungeons who genuinely believe that pulling an enemy with provoke gives them some enormous, unbeatable amount of threat... only to watch a dps hit it once or twice and then not understand why they cannot keep threat on the enemy even though they used provoke.
I do try to politely explain that provoke is only useful if someone else already has more enmity than themselves but due to the ambiguous wording on the tool tip they choose to not believe me.... usually resulting in several deaths of healer/dps because the tank wont listen to reason
With a potentially large influx of new tanks in 3.0 with the release of dark knight, I am hoping you might be able to examine this and reword it slightly to prevent some confusion (I also realise it is low priority)
