Edit: did another 100 runs and I must have got the Ultima/Godbert cards from another NPC. Removed them from the confirmed list sorry for the confution

Just tried it and I can confirm it works. Seems a bit more iffy when it's the NPC leading but you'll win most of the time. Thanks for posting this.

if those people whinging about difficulty of npcs actually took the time like you obviously do to learn tactics for each 1 then they would have 30+ cards nows.. but cause its a bit hard they prefer to whinge in forums til get changes they demand

I do think that RNG on the card drops is a little much.. I must have beaten the King 50+ times before i saw my 1st card drop and other NPC many times, but still no drop at all.
RNG will RNG but most if not all NPC have the same deck they play with 1 or 2 card variations so you just need to tailor your deckand work out which spots to bait the NPC.

For instance with the GS NPC rule Ascension, Sudden Death, i prefer to play with all beast tribe cards so i can end up with +2/3 always which will result in 7->10 6->9 etc, i will play defensive with my best card and then claim any scion or human card i can.
I will aim for a tie and then use those cards with 9,9,8 borders to get the win. I do feel very strongly that there is a pattern to beat every NPC.

I don't think I'd call this 90% success since even with a draw, you still lose 5MGP, but its alot higher chance than winging it on my own, so thanks for that. In just 20 minutes I was able to get Biggs, Cid and Behemoth cards.

If you consider the draws as a loss then you will make up the rest in extra card drops.. 3 star 50MGP 4 star sells for 200MGP etc.. i earned almost an extra 2000 MGP in card sales had a few lucky 4 star drops
