I desperately want at least the ears for males, even though I believe there should be a hole bunny outfit. When I saw the GS images, and saw the outfits available, I jumped to the conclusion... the gambler's outfit would ultimately be unisex and the bunny outfit would be female only. I play a Lala. I could do an adorable white rabbit outfit with a patrician's coatee.
I don't understand why this hasn't gotten a response yet, the ears wouldn't even need a hare of remodeling, they'd just need to be resized slightly. You'd think they'd spring to it. I'm getting carrot away, this whole post is a little coney, so I think it's time I end this post before somebody gets angora.
I'd prefer to see the costume adjusted so that it's distinct when used by male characters instead of being a simple copy and paste of the female version. We don't exactly need more androgynous/feminine gear for male characters - if anything, we need stuff that's sexy but still rather masculine.
With that said it is becoming a tad tiresome to see female characters get a lot of gender locked gear only for men to get very little by comparison. The Best Man's set is a great example - why wasn't that limited to men?
I support more options/availability and I am always in favor of pleasing as many players as possible, not just some sooo.. I have to agree.
A complete male outfit would be nice, like a chipndale lol ...wooot, making it rain baby lol!
I also would love to see a pair of floppy, furry ears available to all, I have seen many ppl with the current ears and although they are OK....Im still very unsure about getting them when I do reach 20k....idk, they are a tad toooo pointy and rock hard stiff. Oo
Make a set like an angora bunny!
both floppy and bouncy or at least one flopped over plz!
♥ MORE HIGH HEELS + INSTANCED HOUSING! ♥!
I think it's just SE having a problem with male rabbit in general.
Q38: In terms of new races, what kind of races are you looking into and will mixed races be introduced?
A38: I don't think we'll have mixed races for a while. Since it seems like Viera is popular around the world we have been proactively looking into this, but since having a rabbit male might be kind of weird, maybe we'll look into having a separate race for the male counterpart. If I'm not mistaking for all male locked gear there is a similar gear for female, but there are quite a few gear that are unique to female only and where males get nothing.
So it's more of a 'nothing for males vs everything for females' so far.
And I can guess that the Best man set wasn't locked because otherwise most people would have scream murder since women wearing suits is acceptable irl so it should be in game too.
I guess SE is just really not inspired by men and what they can wear.
I'm still pretty annoyed that the wedding attire for men is just a recolor of the bestman's pants and shoes and some very unoriginal gloves that we already had +5 versions of; while the female set was, afaik, all new looking gear.
And let's not forget the ST/WOD/PvP mage gear sets that were obviously made for females with all the pastel colors and ribbons, but that usually looks atrocious on male characters... Could I please have a dress that doesn't make my character look like a joke? plzkthx. /looking at you Astrologian AF gear.

...lol? Wth? Someone care to explain this to me please? Like...seriously...I'm baffled...like, how? Male rabbits don't exist irl? Or, hello Bugs Bunny? Bunnymund? Whoever else? How is it any weirder than male cats? Or femRoes? Like, really? @_@I think it's just SE having a problem with male rabbit in general.

And that - personally, I don't much mind the pastels and ribbons and the like, but I am offended at the idea of recolors being sold to us as different gear: dunno the wedding gloves, but yeah, ST and WoD sets, the Valentione outfit from last year, who knows what else... please stop with that kind of laziness please.I'm still pretty annoyed that the wedding attire for men is just a recolor of the bestman's pants and shoes and some very unoriginal gloves that we already had +5 versions of; while the female set was, afaik, all new looking gear.

Seriously though, if all they're lacking is inspiration... Here, I drew a thing. The two sets of ears ended up looking way better than I thought they would...

If it absolutely must be done on the cheap or never done at all, I'm pretty sure most of this could be done using existing mesh assets. I'd also kill to have low-cut pants that aren't restricted to Dragoons and tanks (besides Dreadwyrm).
But even just the ears would be nice.
(Notice me, sempai!)
I can understand if SE wanted to help make different outfits depending on gender.
But I don't see why Boys can't have bunny ears too. I consider those bunny ears a unisex item tbh. XD
This is the best I could do. Please don't be too embarrassed and just graciously accept that your character is cool-looking enough that I wanted to try drawing him. (Also, payback for linking me in a LFtP question.)

This time I tried keeping to the basic color scheme of the female version and drawing something similarly revealing, bit still masculine, that also could be a functional casino uniform. Well, about as functional as panties and fishnets are for a women's work uniform...
I know the art team has people who can come up with something better than this. Come on, guys!
I think that's an awesome thing you did, any player not grateful for having their character imagined in the context of one of their requests would be out of their mind.
I personally think it sucks that when it comes to gender locked items, for every item that's gender locked to male players, there's also an equivalent option available to female players- and yet the reverse is definitely not true. There are so many types of outfits where there's one option available to male/female characters, and another available to only female characters.
Sure, I hardly wish to wear a bridesmaid dress... or any dress, though if I were to run WoD and get the healer gear, sadly that would force me to wear a dress anyway. Like Scyllla's granny dress from ST. Ever see a male Hyur Highlander in one of those- totally Silence of the Lambs time... "It rubs the lotion on its skin, or else it gets the hose again."
Which makes me wonder why a lot of items are gender locked from guys, you can't say it's to be 'fair' since girls can wear gambler's outfit, and the bunny items are sold as somewhat of a parallel to that.
