    All unlocks From 1 to 60

    Over time, I made some sort of "guide" on the important things a player can (will have to?) do while leveling to 50.

    It may happen I missed something so I am asking your help for any improvement, or missing things! Thank You!

    Please note this is very subjective and everyone have its own play styles, so this is not something to follow step by step, but just one of the multiple paths a player can follow!
    1. Create your Character;
    2. Enlist in your class guild and complete your level 1 class quest;
    3. Complete your level 5 class quest;
    4. Complete your Rank 1 hunting log;
    5. Complete the lv.9 Main Scenario Quest (unlocks Inn, Guildleves quest and chocobo porter);
    6. Complete your level 10 class quest (unlocks armory, ability to switch to other classes and save of your armor sets);
    7. Complete your first levemete quest from levemete npc located in outside starting area of your town, and then do the followup quest about guildleves (unlocks Duty Finder, Guildhests and Duty Roulette: Guildhest)
    8. Complete your level 15 class quest;
    9. Complete your Envoy level 15 Main Scenario quest (unlocks Airship travel);
    10. Complete the level 15 Main Scenario "Call of the Sea" (unlocks sidequests needed for unlock some game features);
    11. Complete the level 15 quest "Rising to the Challenge" (I'tolwann, Limsa Upper Decks 11,10, unlocks the Challenge Log);
    12. Complete the level 15 quest "Beauty Is Only Scalp Deep" (S'dhodjbi, Limsa Upper Decks 11,11, unlocks Aesthetician);
    13. Complete the level 15 Main Scenario "It's Probably Pirates" (unlocks Sastasha and Party Finder);
    14. Complete the level 15 quest "It Could Happen to You" (Well-Heeled Youth, Ul'dah – Steps of Nald 9,9, unlocks The Manderville Gold Saucer);

    16. Complete the level 16 Main Scenario "Fire in the Gloom" (unlocks Tam-Tara Deepcroft and Duty Roulette: Low Level);
    17. Complete your Rank 2 hunting log;
    18. Switch class! You need levelup to 15 another specific class, to unlock the progression after level 30. To make an example, Archer class needs have Pugilist class to 15, to unlock its progression, that is, Bard job.
      Archer 30 + Pugilist 15 = Bard |
      Gladiator 30 + Conjurer 15 = Paladin |
      Lancer 30 + Marauder 15 = Dragoon |
      Marauder 30 + Gladiator 15 = Warrior |
      Pugilist 30 + Lancer 15 = Monk |
      Arcanist 30 + Thaumaturge 15 = Summoner |
      Arcanist 30 + Conjurer 15 = Scholar |
      Conjurer 30 + Arcanist 15 = White Mage |
      Thaumaturge 30 + Archer 15 = Black Mage |
      Rogue 30 + Pugilist 15 = Ninja |
      So, check very well what class you need and go enlist on that class guild (most likely that is in another city and you go there by Airship);

    Congratulations! Now you are a fresh new 50! Please note at 50 there will be a number of new unlocks, you can check them on this thread.

    A note about cross-class abilities
    At this point, you have surely noticed you can equip a number of abilities coming from other jobs as well. Aside some must-have for certain jobs (as example the swiftcast for healers, so much important to have it included into above list), you will be better take a look at how you want play your main job and if needed, level the other jobs at least in order to unlock the ability you want to equip. Those abilities are not level restricted, it means you can use them even if synced at levels lower than the one needed to unlock them. That is the reason you see some tanks cast Stoneskin even in places that have it locked on the healer. Make good use of those extra abilities!

    Have fun!

    Franky, this is the appropriate section, imho.

    As long as the argument are quests to do and how to unlock them, this forum section is a better choice than "new players", that is
    ...a place for players who are new to FINAL FANTASY XIV to find a quick resolution to the questions and issues they may have...
    so, not the correct place, for a number of reasons:
    1. this list of mine is useful for both new and not new players
    2. new player help is mainly to help new players that lands there, making questions
    3. a new player, hardly can help me improve this list

    But, if this is garbage to you, that does not means it is for someone else, nor it makes you rights to ask me to leave. You can just skip the thread instead make hate posts. Thank you! Plonk

    I'd think such a list should include actually finishing the Main Scenario. It has a few more quests and a couple more dungeons after the Cape Westwind trial, concluding with the Praetorium (The Ultimate Weapon quest). That's what unlocks most of the endgame content.

    needs big bold red letters and specific mention of oath
    sheild oath is more important than swiftcast is for healers

    Yep, about endgame have done a progression on another thread, with all endgame unlocks. Finishing the Ultima Weapon is the first thing I added there, besides just Glamouring quest.

    When you use the term "Make", do you mean "Complete"? Just for diction and grammatic sake.
