Embrace only has a range of 25y and faeries only auto-cast within 20-21y.

As requested by a community rep, this is a more detailed/complete re-submission of a previous bug report.

Time: 2/19/15 around 10pm MST. Has been tested at other times over past few months.
Frequency: Always.

In-game time:
Area and coordinates: Gridania / Central Shroud. Have tested in other areas.
Steps:
1. Summon Selene and place on Obey.
2. Place Selene adjacent to a striking dummy.
3. Target Selene and move to max range for Physick, which should be 30y.
4. Command Selene to cast Embrace on character. Observe Selene has to move approx 5y to cast, then moves back afterwards.
5. Move forward until reaching the point where Selene does not have to move to cast. This is the same point where the Striking Dummy next to Selene comes into range for Ruin, which has a range of 25y. This conclusively proves Embrace only has a range of 25y instead of 30 as stated.
6. Staying around max range of Embrace, switch gear sets to drain HP below 80%. Observe Selene does not cast Embrace automatically.
7. Move forward until Selene starts casting Embrace automatically.
8. To measure distance, use Fey Glow or Fey Light, which have a radius of 20y (assuming that is accurate). At max range of auto-casting Embrace, character is just outside radius of those abilities. Moving just a little closer brings character into radius. Based on this, auto-cast range for Embrace must be between 20 and 21 yalms. Distance between character and faerie at max auto casting range is also approximately equal to the diameter of two Shadow Flares (10y each).

I have tested both Eos and Selene on Obey and Sic with the same results. I have also tested range of auto-healing on a another player character in party (having that character use equipment swaps to lower HP below 80%) and have observed the same ranges and behaviors.

Conclusion: Embrace only has a range of 25y instead of 30y and faeries will only auto-cast Embrace at a range of 20-21y.

once I did play around with the SCH, I noticed difficulty with getting Eos to heal properly. You just put it all into detail, and confirmed the theories I hadn't defined myself yet.

I completely agree with you, and think the problem should be approached.
