A new log and the Jukebox

I recently finished the sightseeing log and thought "this game needs more little side log activity's like this"

What if, we got a new furnishing item: The Jukebox.

Where we could play our own BSM in the comfort of your own house, I have nothing against the current housing theme, but after listening to it for a long time its getting a little dull.

Heres how I think they should go about it: A new log.
One where it lists all the soundtracks you unlocked and viewed just like in the sightseeing log and play them using the jukebox in your house.

What soundtracks? Well, how about some of the most famous songs from the FF series? Or some of the Inn themes such as this one?

How would you get said soundtracks? Rare drops from mobs? Fates? Maybe even a reward from gold saucer? Thats up to square.

What do you guys think?
I think its an idea that could work.
If theres one thing final fantasy is known for its its music.

Mob drops could be ok, but i would suggest something else.

Maybe add a new small mechanic for dungeons to retrieve these "Key Items" that
unlocks new themes related to the specific "Themed" area.

Many people these days rush through dungeons, raids etc...
i guess it can be difficult to implement a new mechanic if its to complicated.
So i suggest something simple yet interesting.

If all else fail... Bork it, and add a new type quest that allows you to
collect X currency form to retrieve whatever "Theme" you are looking for.

Maybe even tokens you can get from the upcoming Manderville-
gold-saucer area & trade in for music themes?

or...

A guessing game, "Answer X question related to X Themed location to get that specific Theme" unlocked to play in your jukebox.
Maybe even make it a daily quest, that rewards gil, exp & 1x daily theme.
And if this option...please make it fun, even if it means bringing in a Kappa to perform this quest or even Pupu (the little blue alien)

Q: Can you add a jukebox-like furnishing that allows us to select the music for our Free Company house?

A: Yoshida: I think this kind of item would be a nice addition. Just the other day I was looking over documents for an item named “Orchestrion.” It said you’ll be able to obtain songs in some way and play them whenever you want. After this is implemented we're planning to add new songs for it with each patch.

Soken: If there's a spec document for a jukebox, then we can add it.

Yoshida: We're aiming to implement the Orchestrion in Patch 3.0 or 3.1.

Fantastic idea! The current housing theme... well, after listening to hundreds of loop of it.... it drives me insane, and I turn off my BGM every time I'm in my house (unless it's night, I really like the night time music for the housing areas!!!)

I'm very surprised a feature like this has not already been implemented, as the FF franchise puts great work into their soundtracks!

I believe they mentioned some updates a la 3.0 that will make it easier to implement. So it's a system limitation that's holding them back and the new code is slated for 3.0
