Guess that Machinist Job Story!

ya 2.5 Part 2 waiting is getting on edge for 3.0 so....

What do you think the Machinist story will be about and/or focus on?

Much as I would enjoy going into Astrologian Job Story, I see Machinist having a more interesting theme to its storyline considering Machinist use Magitek as their main source of skills from creating mods for the Gun to creating Magitek Drones for support. Eorzea is still in their early years of developing Magitek so there is only a small handful of Magitek in Eorzea's daily life.

So my best guess for Machinist Job story is that it may focus on how Eorzea is handling their development into Magitek and how people handle the introduction of Magitek to their life.

Probably gonna involve a Garlean engineer who left the Empire under questionable circumstances. The story will revolve around his creations being misused and the adventurer helping him keep things under control while teaching him about the job.

I would have it be a machinist from Ishgard that wants to build machines to fight against dragons. The older generation of ishgardians and many of his fellow engineers don't think they're very useful compared to tried and true methods, so his story revolves around using his machines in unpredictable ways to change people's attitudes towards his inventions. He might fail a few times but it never stops him from pushing forward and innovating.

In some kind of way this may happen but it certain would be interesting if this kind of event lead to Machinist's lvl 60 Job Quest boss to be Proto-Ultima.

Sadly doubt it would happen since Job Quest is about teaching our character about the Job we will be playing as. Still a encounter with a Garlean Engineer as our Job rival is one possibility.

Cid and Nero are probably too busy finding the next 24 member Raid to help us with Machinist nor Dark Knight Job.

(Darn can't wait to get my hands on my own Personal Airship Flying Mount.)

On that note: we will most likeyl see Cid, and maybe Nero, again in 3.0 Main Scenario.

On Serious note:

Because it is one way to pass time as we all wait for 3.0.

Not to mention gives a few insight into how different people feel things may go with certain aspects of the future storyline.

Also, we need more thinking discussion topics in the General Discussion Section to generally discuss about. There a bunch of QQ, rage, and boohoo topics spawning everyday already and any more of those SE might as well turn "General Discussions" into "General QQ and Rage"

I hope an NPC involved in the Machinist questline is a blonde, fancily-dressed midlander named Edgar. Either that, or one of our abilities is a Cone or Targeted AoE called "Auto-Crossbow".
