    An idea for Tri-Disastor

    I was playing Dota 2's Warlock and a spell of his gave me an idea for the Summoners Tri-Disaster. Warlock's Spell is this, "Binds several enemy units together, causing 25% of the damage dealt to one of them to be felt by the others." The ability has a limit of up to 6 targets, but for this game, lets give it the same amount as Bane

    Whats if Tri-Disaster did this and Bane prioritized enemies affected by it?
    Remove the bind, and give Summoner something more practical, because the damn bind never works anyway.

    What do you think? Good idea or a bad one? Completely over the top? Or a good addition?

    One idea would be also removing the skill totally. Requires too much MP, one of the longest cast times in the game, lowest potency in the game. And wow aoe, such useful, many wow.

    Tri Disaster is the SMN's version of sleep, yes it doesnt affect all but if you don't like it and don't need, don't use it. Simple.

    It is not there for DPS, it is simple a utility spell.

    It is a Utility Spell. What im sensing from this post and the various others is Summoners are "reaching" for a way to improve their class by adding support ideas to abilities. I main a Summoner and I do feel that we will be getting a rework for 3.0...but anything before that may not be possible. I look forward to the changes and I love my SMN very much, so I understand the desperation.

    It was SOMEWHAT useful back in the days where the bind wasn't removed by Shadowflare >_>

    now when the tank dies, by the time I cast this, either:

    1) Mobs can't be binded
    2) Mobs immediately rush to me and I die
    3) Mobs get binded but the bind breaks due to floor aoes or by someone else's attack
    4) Mobs rush towards the healer, the cast gets interrupted due to LoS and case 2) kicks in

    The spell itself, like the name implies, is a disaster in 3 areas: Long cast time, pathetic potency, weak effect (don't get me started that it's effect doesn't alter with the summoned pet)

    Black Mage sleep? Almost always works. And its a sleep so it prevent s attacks all together.

    Sleep works on sub 50 dungeon trash mobs, open world mobs, and map mobs. That's it. The stuff that you want to sleep is much more likely to be susceptible to bind than sleep.

    most jobs had a questionable skill. i've used it in pvp before to save people from dying but in pve i use it once a week just cause i think the skill looks cool casting.

    I've always felt like Tri-Disaster was more an analog of BLM's freeze than their sleep. In which case I really don't understand why BLM gets an AoE bind that does 100 potency as a job ability, while SMN gets one that only does 30 potency as a job ability.
