We are happy to announce our first FFXIV Community Contest ran along side our event open to ALL PLAYERS from ALL SERVERS!

We were originally planning on posting the contest in this thead- because it is attached to Love Love Star Maid Cafe. However, it was moved to the Sargatanas(LEGACY) server section by a moderator. This contest and it's event is open to ALL PLAYERS, not just characters strictly residing on Sargatanas,this event & contest extends to any and all adventurers from ALL SERVERS, not just Sargatanas.

★ Love Love Star Maid Café - Casting Call Contest! ★

Love is in the air, and as Valentione's Day draws closer the Love Love Star Maid Cafe staff is rushing around securing preparations for this year's Maid Cafe.

Do you think you have what it takes to be a Love Love Star Maid or Host? Conjure up your creative writing skills and amaze our staff with a Love Love Star Maid or Host persona that's just too good for any Master or Mistress to pass up a chance with!

★ Contest Entry Period
Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. (PST) through, Thursday, February 5, 2015 at 9:00 p.m. (PST)

★ Theme
A Love Love Star Maid or Host Persona!

★ How to Enter
Pick a Maid or Host archtype / persona that you want your character to portray. Then submit the following in a thread post below!

• A short sentence expressing your persona.
• Write a short paragraph that characterizes your persona and personality.
• Submit a screenshot of your character that fits your character type.

Examples:

Your overly excited, bubbly miqo'te next door.

"You! Yes, it's you I'm speaking to- don't be shy! Have we met before? No? Then we should be friends.. WAIT NO... We should be so much more-- together you and I could light the night sky. So please, let me show you a fun time, don't make me ask you twice- Would you be my Valentine?"

★ Selection
The Love Love Star Maids and Hosts will select the top three winners based on overall creativity and execution of theme.


★ Prizes:
The top three winners will be eligible to receive:

• (1) Small art commission of your entered persona. Example

*** As an additional optional prize, the chosen winners have a chance to participate in this year's Love Love Star Maid Cafe as their created persona.

★ ~ Rules ~ ★

• One entry per player.
• You may use photo editing software to crop, resize, AND TOUCH UP your screenshots if you so desire. Edits are not required, but are permitted.
• Inappropriate submissions will be disqualified. (Please abide by ToS, let's keep it PG-13)

★ ~ Additional: ~★
If chosen as a winner for the contest and you would like to accept the Optional Prize to participate as a Maid or Host in this year's Love Love Star Maid Cafe and do not currently reside on Sargatanas server. You will need to either:

• Make a new character on the Sargatanas server for the event date of Feb 14th.
• Transfer an existing character of yours to the Sargatanas server the the event date of Feb 14th.

Please note in both cases, the character will need to have access to the Gridanian city-state to participate in the event.

As an RPer this is very tempting... I would love to enter one of my characters, but with seven to choose from, I am not sure which ONE I would like to set up for this, I'd love to submit my Main, but she'd be hard to write in as a maid... Or I could make a new character in her image and write for that... Or I could just work with an existing character that might just sweep clientele off their feet... If only I could do a boy and a girl... Doing characters is so fun but having only one possible entry makws it so Hard!

The only problem I have is that I would not want to leave Tonberry and if I made a new character then I have no Valentione's Day outfits :/. I would like to created a cute Tsundere personality, but I might do that and not enter to win .

I would really love to enter! But yeah x.o transfering of servers is sumthing i cant do. and making a new character i wouldnt be able to get my same outfit ;A; but the event looks super cool! and im super jealous that my own server doesnt have stuff like this!

As many stated this last year and this year- if you are interested I do suggest still making a new character even if they cannot obtain a spesific outfit. We had many participants last year show up as level 1 alts. So I don't believe you'd be out of place in any way missing gear!
