Eternal Bond Reservation Issue. What did we do wrong here?

My Fiance and I applied a reservation for today (Dec 19) (when the wedding patch was implanted on the following friday) I made a 11:00am (PST) reservation while his had to be at 2:00pm since he is at (EST 3 hour difference) . We talked to the NPC that does the reservations today (Etoinelle) at our appropriate schedule and they wouldn't let us in to begin the ceremony. We had our wristlets on and blank inventations. Nothing. We got frustrated and ended up having to wait even more and reschedule.

The npc always has the gold icon on her head still before and after reservation. Is there anything we did wrong here? :/

Yes, I think you both reserved a slot when only one of you needed to in the first place. When one of you talks to the NPC to pick a slot, both of you get the appropriate invitations. If either of you, while you're both there, talk to the NPC again then you are picking a new time slot.

Whatever was on your invitations at the end is what the NPC was counting on.
