    On topic of Machinist, If the turrets aren't pets and are hovering emplacements (the fact that they hover suggests to me that they are mobile but we'll see) I can imagine them being the bane of speed runs, with a certainamount of set up time before thier DPS ramps up. Not a complaint, I'm not a speedrunner, just a thought.

    I am sure we will see more jobs till 3.0, those 3 on the events were just the beginning, my guess is it will at least double the current number and then we have those 3 or 4 special with no base class... I am sure thats not all, what we have seen so far!

    If they add even a fourth new Job to the list, they damn sure better be increasing our Armoury Chest space... Even the existing three new Jobs has me worrying about space...

    How the hell am I meant to carry gear for;
    13 Jobs.
    8 Crafters.
    3 Gathers.
    Potentially 13 Jobs in PvP sets.
    1~3 SBing sets.

    When I only have 25 slots?

    Don't even need a new Armoury Chest (though my OCD would like Armoury Chest I to be for Combat stuff and Armoury Chest II to be for crafting/gathering), just remove the forced sorting. I have plenty of excess space in wrists/earrings/neck/waist that'll likely never get filled up, meanwhile body and weapons specifically aren't going to accommodate 2 new Jobs, let alone three.

    That's a pretty terrible reason for giving up in an existing concept. Not to mention there are secondary mechanics that could be used (ammo as a secondary resource, for one) to make it mechanically different from archer.

    Archer/Bard used to to have "ammo" (arrows) in 1.0

    We no longer use "ammo," which I think many will agree it was changed for the best for inventory space among other things.


    In any case, if the devs chose not to use Musketeer as a class (yet, if ever), I'm sure they have their reasoning. I'm pointing out a possible redundancy without any gimmicks to let it stand out from Archers. And for the record, a potentially redundant class is an excellent reason to scrap it; not that anyone has any proof of what it could/would have turned out to be in 2.0. I think they are right to not bother with classes and to just focus on jobs at this point.

    maybe not consummable ammo, but maybe picking ammo as a skill, similar to picking type of poison as a ninja, or maybe even combining different ammo like the mudra to get certain effects and skills. they can go so many routes with these new jobs...im excited. Now it would be cool if they add some like relic armor for the different jobs. But as of right now with all the info that came out...im very content with the direction they are going.

    Has a pet and confirmed to be a support DPS. I hope that SMN buff is going to be good enough, because good luck seeing any SMN if it isn't. Looks pretty cool though I might give it a try since Gun + pet is pretty much win in my book.

    I only started posting just last month ... look at my joining date.

    For the longest of time I had no forum access, because I'm not American, but I have read the forums in the mean time.

    "treating SE like the enemy"? I'm just expressing my frustration. Problem? [1]

    But yes, the turrets ... are turrets. Like GW2's Engineer turrets. By and large, devoid of personality.

    Is it too much to ask for an end-game pet that has a (friendly) personality? (The Egis don't really count, they pretty much have the personality (lore-wise) of their larger cousins.)

    [1] Ironically, you are starting to treat me "like the enemy" because of my expression of dissatisfaction (and disapproval) of the company you are a fan of.
