Solutions

1. Only one of the statements is true. That should immediately raise a red flag on any answers that agree with each other, since if one was true the others would also be true. If A was true, then D would also be true and there would be 2 correct statements. Similarly, C, E, and F all agree with each other. This just leaves B as the correct answer.




2. No symbolism here. The Ehcatl camp is located between Proud Creek and Peacegarden.




3. A. Any toad mob was acceptable for this problem.



B. I originally based this off of the Lake Cobras in Mor Dhona. Many people answered with Basilisks, which was also correct and accepted.



C. Any beetle mob was acceptable for this problem.



D. The correct answer is Highland Goobue. Some people answered with other types of goobues but the green ones use Moldy Sneeze and not Sickly Sneeze.



E. Any crocodile mob was acceptable for this problem. The boss of T13 (not naming due to spoilers) was also acceptable.



4. The first line was a play on the phrase "X marks the spot." Here, X was the number of guilds in Limsa Lominsa, which is 7 - Arcanist's Guild, Fisherman's Guild, Rogue's Guild, Culinarian's Guild, Marauder's Guild, Blacksmith's Guild, and Armorer's Guild. Note that guilds was specifically defined to be DoW, DoM, DoL, and DoH so the Adventurer's Guild did not count. Land of snow clearly refers to Coerthas.

The Eighty Sins of Sasamo is a flight of broken stairs just outside the Gate of the Sultana in Ul'dah.



The Itinerant Moogle sells 4 items, Slime Earrings, Dodo Earrings, Cactuar Earrings, and Bomb Earrings.

The Astalicia is a ship near the Fisherman's Guild in Limsa. If you carefully count all the NPCs on board and the poor fellow hanging from the rope, you will get 22.



The number of guilds in Ul'dah is 7, Pugilist's Guild, Thaumaturge's Guild, Gladiator's Guild, Goldsmith's Guild, Miner's Guild, Weaver's Guild, and Alchemist's Guild.

The Eternal Sleep is an unmarked inn in Camp Drybone. If you count the number of lalafells there, you will find 3, one behind the desk, one in the second room, and one in the last room at the end of the hallway.



Finally, you start the game off at level 1. The last clue was why in italics and underlined. It's Y. Putting all of that together,

X = 7
Y = (80 / 4) + 22 - (7 + 3 + 1) = 31

If you look for x7 y31 in Coerthas, you end up at the Fury's Gaze.
