Have the developers ever talked about giving females male hairstyles and vice versa? I know that the female mi'qote and male roegadyn oddly share that same spike hairstyle. Will there be more options like this in the future?

I want the braided up-do that male Highlander/roeg share with female Elezen.
I want the female dreads for my male miq'ote. It would look so good..
I want the dreads really bad too.
I've been posting this question in near every Live Letter question thread for several months now... it's rarely gotten more than 15 likes (i.e. never gets asked of the devs). I want soo many male hairstyles, especially some of the new Highlander styles.
You can already be a bald female elezen
I think they've mentioned that it's a question of priorities. It's not just copying and pasting one hairstyle to another model's head, they basically have to remake the hairstyle for different genders.
So, it might be coming, but since that much effort goes into it, it's usually more pragmatic to just churn out new hairstyles til they run out of ideas first.
In short, some day. But not soon. Especially since the teams in charge of that are probably hard at work making sure the customization options for the new race work right.
I want the pigtails.
SE gave us the Thancred's hairstyle on female highlanders.
