Background: As the post states, my static is currently seeking a BRD, WHM, or BLM for a group that has cleared T13. Our BRD is stepping out due to time constraints and real life obligations (differing time zone [EU]). As a result, we are looking for a replacement.
About our raid group: Our group has the most hardcore schedule of the three groups in the FC. Turn 9 was cleared five lockouts before any other FC on the server and we enjoy pushing ourselves. We like to push content hard until it is down so we can then go back to farming once a day. However, all of us have full time jobs or are full time students so we encourage people to ask for days off of raiding when they need to meet a deadline or are getting swamped in real life. We always put real life matters first but we like to go hard whenever possible. Time management is something all of the members in our group are efficient at.
What we need in a member: We want someone who can put at least 4 days in (possibly more) when content is new and we're still doing progression. This obviously varies depending on the schedule for that particular week, the content, and the members of the group. However, raiding 2 days or less is not acceptable when we're trying to push content.
Note that we are looking to do savage mode for the Final Coil of Bahamut as well as going back to get any savage mode clears we missed prior to 2.4.
You need to be a master of your class. As a BRD, you need to push DPS and still maintain an efficient song order while communicating with the raid. A BLM needs to know exactly where in a fight movement may be minimized to maximize DPS which requires extensive research on fights in advance. SCHs need to know how to communicate with their co-healer, know exactly when to time fairy CDs and which fairy to run, and have be extremely comfortable and knowledgeable about DPS. WHMs must know when to conserve mana, which AoE heals to use depending on the situation, how to use CDs like shroud and PoM effectively, and generally minimize their overhealing done through analysis of their raid performance.
Multiple people in the raid have mained every one of these jobs at one time or another when the raid needed us to so we have high standards and know exactly what to expect.
Crafted gear is a must: especially T13 and savage modes.
Finally, we need someone who is calm in raid, can take criticism when needed, holds themselves accountable when they make mistakes, and is able to keep up with research and strategies. We also need someone who can mesh well with the group. We joke around and have fun but we also buckle down and take ourselves seriously when the situation calls for it.
About the FC: Curia Regis is Midgardsormr's premier FC. Our three raid groups all work together as one cohesive unit and have gotten every server first raid clear since SCoB with the exception of Turn 7. We have all current server firsts in the FCoB and have been the only FC to clear any savage modes from the SCoB on the server. We are a "family style" FC meaning we look out for our own and will take care of our members as long as they are loyal and treat others with respect.
We have high standards of play that we hold every member to and those standards have increased with every subsequent patch. In essence, the raid content dictates what we expect and expectations continue to rise.
