Should I start running the Binding Coil? How do I get better gear and a better bow?

Do your roulettes for soldiery, get unidentified allagan tomestone from ST (and possibly sand of time), buy a i100 weapon with 1300 soldiery and UAT and upgrade it using the sands of time, repeat the process for the rest of your armor while getting some i120 pieces with poetics, you can also try and clear T5 so you can do T6-8 for gear, sands, oils and UAT.

You can buy i100 gear with soldiery tomes (obtained mostly from duties) and upgrade them to i110 with loot from Syrcus Tower and Second Coil. You can also buy i120 gear with poetic tomes which are also obtained from duties, Final Coil offers the means for i130 gear.

Loot from Binding Coil is obsolete (i90) and the only reason to do it these days is for the crafting mats and you need to complete T5 to unlock Second Coil where you can obtain i110 gear, which you need to complete for Final Coil
