    It was an April Fools joke, but I have to admit I like the concept of it. It doesn't necessarily need to involve romance, but it would be nice to have that extra level of interaction with the story mode characters. Personally, I'd be all about romancing Nero... that hunky villain might be evil, but at least he's gorgeously evil.

    * The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.

    Honestly I think adding an option to "romance" the main npcs might be a bit too complicated story-wise (i.e. why is Thancred still stalking Higiri after last night?! that cheating jerk! ) but having some quests to at least get more personal interaction/backstory with the main npcs, like you do for minor npcs in the Moogle Postman quests would be great.

    I think it would actually add a new dimension to the game, even if it just resulted in the NPC occasionally visiting your room to offer a buff.

    Well, you can already have a buff from thancred in some way considering his position at the end of the 2.4 story quest. If you know what I mean !
