Free Company Alliance?

Finally, in patch 2.2, as we mentioned in a separate post last week, we are planning to implement a free company alliance system, which will let you join your free companies together to see both member lists, share a chat channel, and have other useful features.

We'll be implementing a variety of features moving forward step by step to ensure that everyone can play comfortably and easily in the content that they wish to participate in.

Is this feature still on the table or am I better off just starting a LS to ally up all the small companies myself?

Not sure if it is still a thing, alliance linkshells seem to work but with limitations 128 max members. Which hasn't been a problem as most of the fc's looking to ally are small less than 20 or so members. Really looking forward to it though If its still on the design board.
