These demands are insanely petty. During the tsunami a few years back FFXI was down for a week or two, understandably so, and SE went out of their way to overcompensate everyone with more free time than the servers were down. Demanding free game time for the downtime required to actually improve the game is beyond insane. It's a game, not some cloud based productivity business suite that you desperately need access to.

If you really do add up the entire maintenance for the month of October we will be losing a few days. I normally do not care when maintenance is done during normally not played house. However, when the game will be down during the peak time of play and we payed for this, then we should be reimbursed the time period of this maintenance.

I will be surprised if this happens though. Blizzard was known for doing this during massive maintenance.

Did you agree to the ToS before you started playing? If you've ever set foot in Eozea then you did, and it says right in there they can take the servers down whenever they want.

edit: Besides, what do you want? It's about 50 cents a day to play this game. If you're really desperate for that 50 cents send me you email address and I'll send you and email transfer for 50 cents.

Since the dawn of MMO's I have seen threads like this made for every MMO I have touched.

Only once ever did I see any sort of compensation or reduction occur, and it was due to a natural disaster taking the servers off for 2 weeks.

Once. And for 2 weeks downtime.

How does anyone actually have it in their mind that they deserve refunds for server maintenance or 1 day updates. How does this even compute in anyone's brain?!?!!

Read the patch notes or better yet print them off like i have done. There is lots of content this patch.
