I really wanted to get this out before 2.4. I intend on updating BiS and other small pieces of info through annotations after 2.4 drops.

I suppose my main question is how the Ruby Accessory sets work in single tank scenarios, like single tanking Ramuh Ex, Turn 6+, etc?

(Oh... i noticed on this video and the warrior one, it sounds like you got a smoke detector that needs a battery)

Nice guide overall but i would like to add that when OT:ing popping Cover + Bulvark for MT(assuming they are getting hit by non-magical attacks)gives you a nice Shield Swipe spamming spree that doesnt increase your enmity on the target as much as RoH combo, tho healers in random groups might not like it but oh well its their problem :P

They work amazing! My pld Co-tank uses them every week 6-9 . We usually 2 tank everything,
but when either me or him do solo tank we still use ruby
Yea everyone complains in my FC about the smoke detector XD

lmao yea im sure the healers would bitch, but I dont think popping a really good CD for this reason is really worth it. Funny though! The other tank shouldnt have any problems keeping hate even when RoH spamming. Although I do hear horror stories about tanks not being able to keep hate and it always puzzles me haha.

Great guide! I'll keep this in mind if I move forward as a paladin. One note on stoneskin, if you use it too much, you can prevent LB from filling properly. Might not get enough LB for heavensfall phase if you're a bit... overzealous.

So looking at the 2.4 patch update, there are NO new GSM accessories, and the new accessories are going to be 120-130 item level. So if they have +28 (the combined Str/Vit of ruby accessories) of Vit or Str, the I90's accessories may be close to becomming outdated till new GSM accessories arrive.

Ex.
i70 Darklight Choker - 10 Vit
i80 Choker of Divine War - 13 Vit
i90 Hero's Neck of Fending - 15 Vit
i100 Weathered Noct Chocker - 18 vit
i110 Noct Choker - 21 Vit
i120 Ironworks Choker - 24-25 vit?
i130 Augmented Ironworks - 27-28 vit?

Though fair to say we are all a long way from being capped in these.

Great Guide! I do like tanking and found that I like warrior alot more, but PLD is growing on me the more I play it. I like the different play styles between both tank types. I hope SE keeps up with this when designing the new tank classes/jobs... I can't WAIT for Samurai!!!!
