Graphical bug on new GTX 970 and GTX 980's

Background images show up with box-like artifacts in them. This happens in any zone where there is a far off background image (ramuh, east shroud, turn 1/5 and other places). It really diminishes the immersion of the game

I have reproduced it on 3 GTX 980s. (One of which I returned to the manufacturer because I thought it was a hardware defect). The other two repros are in two separate computers (One is a core i5 3750k, the other a core i7 5820k).

Repros on both 344.11 and 344.16 nvidia drivers for Windows 8.1 64 bit on both machines.

I am not getting repros in Diablo III (the only other game I have installed at the moment) or in graphical benchmark software (such as furmark). The cards are both well cooled (top out at ~55C) gaming and both computers have overkill powersupplies (PC Power and Cooling 750w and Seasonic 750w).

I'm cross posting this on the nVidia forum in case it is a problem with their graphics driver/firmware:

I see the same artifact(s), notably on Ramuh.

EVGA GTX 980 SC, i5-2500k, windows 7 64x (all updates current), on both 344.11 and 344.16
