Only 31, haha; try with 300 ms all time.
Horrendous amounts of lag for three of our coil group tonight as well. Two are ISP Shaw Cable (in Ontario), the other is AT&T Uverse (East Coast US).
Same thing happenning to me and my gf, always at around 8pm in Montréal. We are with Akanac (cable, Videotron). Completely unplayable. Never had this before, and it seems to coincide with the latest update, 2.38.
Been raiding since 8pm EDT, and my friend and I (2 seperate connections/locations, both have Uverse), and we've both been cutting in and out the entire night (2 seperate instances where we have major lag issues, cutting out for a good 30s). Internet connection hasn't been too big of an issue, just XIV lagging randomly. The issues were never this bad before.
U-verse, Michigan
Horrible lag for me as well. Can't even do the simplest things.
ISP: AT&T
Location: South Texas, USA
I have been getting bad lag and 90002 errors, since the last 2 updates. It is making it difficult to even play and do simple things.
ISP: Mediacom
Still occurring today on Leviathan (Primal data centre, The Second Coil of Bahamut instance)
The instance server has encountered an error [Error Code 90000] is not an ISP problem but a problem with the servers of Square Enix. Supposedly this problem has been addressed and fixed as stated in the forum "Resolved Issues" by the Moderator Caedramir who states "This issue has been resolved. When you log back in, you'll be able to resume your character's progression." but it has been hitting people pretty consistently lately and has obviously not been resolved. Hopefully the upcoming the maintenance will address these issues... hopefully.
If I remember right, Error 2002 is typically attributed to congestion while 90000 is a generic "connection lost" message.
Considering all the documented cases where there in fact is an issue occurring in route to the server when people are getting these messages, until you resolve such issues to rule them out you can't just patently say it is SE's servers that are the root of your problem. Far too many have documented that finding a way to fix/bypass issues with their routing (be that their ISP's T3 efforts or a VPN/Proxy) has resolved their stability issues at least to the point they are able to log in consistently and play. So, it may be a good idea to at least verify if your route is indeed clean first.
