Does this constitute cheating or is it against the TOS?

Greetings!

So I happened to have had a problem selling LTW items on the market board, only to be responded to with this:


And then later I heard this shout by the same person (their text is inside the yellow box.)

I was curious as to whether the shouted text inside the yellow box constitutes a TOS violation.



Does FFXIV or Square Enix make provisions to protect its players to prevent market control once it's discovered or is this considered something that is part of the gaming experience?

I'd really appreciate an official response...

Sounds like manipulation of the Auction house.

It might be because they are targeting other players from what it appears to be.

This is why they should remove HQ crafting names from the items.

So they cannot tell who's retainer's owners are.

honestly this is grey. normal crashing the market isn't cheating or anything but since they said specifically they are going to do it because of you and too you specifically that could (and its a big could) be considered harassment.

I would need to reread the TOS for FFXIV but FFXI did have some for this.
If nothing else it's harassment.

If it's similar to how it is in WoW, then it's against the rules. But like others have said, will have to see.

Not cheating but harassment for sending the tells.

And yea, I'd love to ruin them.

I hope the devs/community reps get to us soon about this. I do NOT want to see this sort of junk popping up on other servers.
