I couldn't seem to find anywhere where the calendar you see in character creation for your naming day was posted, so instead of having to sign in and hit "create new character" to see the conversion table, I have it written down here for you all to use. The dates that are bolded are the dates that cover 2 suns, also please note that Eorzean weeks are 8 days long, not 7.

You can circumvent that by posting and then editing to add a lot more (I'm not sure of the true hard limit, if there even is one). Also, if you add HB tags before and after the dates list to keep things short, you can indent the bolded headings three times to line up with them and it'll be pretty user-friendly.

Some further fun facts for choosing a name-day:

Eorzea is a land where the heavens turn at a perfectly and evenly divisible pace, and both the solar and lunar calenders operate in perfect harmony. Every month is four sets of eight days. The moon phase always changes on the first and fifth day of the week; the new moon is always on the first and the full always on the 17th. The biggest thing that trips people up (not you, though!) is that the neither the 6th Astral nor 6th Umbral Moon is June. One's November, one's December. IF the lists in The Five Ages are ordered properly (not confirmed by Square Enix staff in the history of ever), the days are associated with Ice, Water, Wind, Lightning, Fire, Earth, Astral, Umbral in that order for the week. If you want to use your real birthday as a foundation, all of this information can help you choose elements and moon phases associated with that day to inspire other things about your character, making it truly individual and forming a really strong identity for your time in Eorzea.

Using Moose as an example, my real-life birthday is in August, so I chose the Fourth Umbral Moon. This is a lightning month, and I really liked that, so you'll see little things that reference it hidden all over the place for Moose. Notice that his eyes and hair both have lots of purple hues. To cement that, I also chose the 12th Sun, an alleged (if I'm right about The Five Ages) lightning day. I recently found out that on the day I was born, the moon new, just beginning to wax, though, so I might blow a leftover Fantasia on changing it to the 4th Sun, an alleged lightning day in that Eorzean moon phase. I didn't choose Rhalgr as a patron, though. I always wanted to play BLM and chose Nald'thal in 1.0, but, the more I healed, the more people realized there were a lot less wipes when I healed, so that didn't quite work out for 'ol Moose. Still, I got the Ring of Nald'thal in the Calamity and you can't trade those in for new gods, so I decided to stick with Nald'thal in memorium of fallen moons and failed dreams. Lightning's just a DOT these days, anyway... <sad sigh>

You're not the only one. Eyriwaen was born in the 3rd umbral month, a wind month governed by Oschon and reflected in many places. His name translates as Wandering Wind, Aero has always been his favorite spell, and all his gear is dyed green when possible. While not on purpose, he also reflects the umbral nature of the 8th day, as he lives in the woods on his own and MAY possibly be a wildling

Is there a way to tell the current Eorzean date in-game? Everywhere I've looked said that it should match (with some leeway) the current Earth date, but that doesn't make sense unless there are more than 24 Eorzean hours in an Eorzean day.

A lot of places must be wrong. An Eorzean day only lasts 70 minutes. You go through an Eorzean week every 9 hours and 20 minutes. Keep in mind that this all just kind of loops forever in an infinite bubble - time never actually passes. To use Ferne's favorite analogy, MMOs work best when time is trapped in a Simpsons bubble. Doesn't matter how many years pass, Maggie's still a baby. Until we find a way to see the calendar date in game, you'll only be able to get a rough estimate by the moon phase.
