Hard Hippogryph Leather HQ

Hi guys,

after a lot of time and money my leatherworker has arrived his first big step.
Now I want to farm the artisan tools, so I have to craft 5 HQ Hard Hippogryph Leather first to get the Master 1 book.
But I dont know how to get them in HQ....
2 Star rotations I found in this forum require artisan tools but how should I have them without the book?
Is there a rotation I can get HQ Hard Hippo Leather without artisan tools?
This are my stats:
Craftmanship 358
Control 349
CP 344
Everything is fully melded, only my off hand has no Materia cause I dont have the 2 Million Gil ;(
Armorer is on lvl 5 and Blacksmith on 15. All other DoH classes are lvl 50

u guys are rly good with this so I hope you can help me.

my other questions is if anybody has a good lvl guide for goldsmith and leatherworker.

It's not 100%, but should be pretty close.

I'm pretty sure it will work with your craftsmanship, but you may need to check this first on a cheaper craft.

Make sure you have the x-class skills on your hotbar if you try this.

LTW was my first tool as well. Hard Hippo was pretty tough at the time, as I did not have ALC or BSM to 50. Eventually, I got there with a simple:

I would simply use reclaim before the finish if I had a bad run of hasty touches. At one point on my craftsmanship melding, I was able to squeeze in another hasty after the final SHII.

There're better rotations, but you're in a similar spot to where I was, and this is how I got there at the time.

As far as lvling leatherworker, my suggestion would just go by tiers (low lv leather to higher grade leather such as raptorskin) and focus on making gear that doesn't use a plethora of mats (such as chokers/rings). Make about 5-10 pieces of those equipment to start out with for each tier, and when desnything be sure to be in the 75% + range to get decent skill/sucess rate (this is just my suggestion for I like to play it safe). Once you get to the 90%+ range, skill points star decreasing dramatically, so I recommend moving on to the next tier of leather.

I'm not an expert nor do I have super high desynth atm, but I managed to get to 60 leatherworker desynth on day of release without going much into it..I haven't touched it since but plan on going back to it soon

I'm stuck at the same point, more or less, I just haven't gotten around to doing any HQ Hard hippo leather at all. I haven't tried yet because the mats are bloody expensive (and time consuming to farm) so i didn't want to waste any before i try. I have been making HQ Hippo leather as I get it.

Desynthesizing i70 items and i80 items CAN rarely yield HQ 2star mats.
im going for the "Artisan skip" so im spamming artisan spectacles right now with HQ Spicy tomato relish and got 1 HQ Rose Gold Ingot so far.
The NQ I will use to make accessories to then desynth

If you plan on doing Desynth, this is a way to get mats before upgrading tools.

It's possible to get HQ without Byregot's but it's pretty much a crapshoot. You rely on getting some Good or Excellent, even then it's unlikely that you'll get past maybe 50% chance at HQ. The rotations mentioned above basically center around getting stacks onto Inner Quiet to make Byregot's give an enormous boost to Quality.

Hey I have a problem with the makro of this rotation. Everything works fine but after the basic touchs I have problems. When I wanna use ingenuity I get tbe message that he cant use it at the moment and it keeps going with inovation and i dont know why. Changed the wait from 2 to 3 and 3 to 4 but still the same problem.
Hope someone can help me.
