FYI for those attempting to access the spreadsheet - while coding the search functionality, I hit some kind of Google Sheets bug that is causing the sheet to repeatedly crash. I have a backup I'm working on now. I'll share it and swap the links when I'm done coding the search feature (in case I hit the bug again).

I have search filters for rlvl ranges and desynth class, and I've coded in a sort feature. I'm just hung up on the partial item name search... Google's filter() function really hates complex conditions

So, I could really use help with the database. There are a LOT of new items. I've added a user comments page that is publicly editable.


So far - you can get WVR desynthable items for 9k and GSM desynthable items for 11k that are both r115 from Coerthas vendors. I made it from 107 GSM to 116 GSM in about ten minutes. And then I made all the money back by selling the 11k rings for 20k each on the MB because I'm a terrible person <_< The rings give BC2s, not BC3s. They are a level 51 zero star recipe. It seems that they are considered to be r51 for the purposes of item drops, but r115 for the purposes of experience gain and desynth difficulty. I had a 50% chance with dSkill 115. It remains to be seen how items obtained via the new one star recipes will be treated.

The Agate Rings gave only Agates (and the occasional BC2) from desynthing them, interestingly, even though crafting them takes both 1x Agate and 1x Basilisk Whetstone. I'll post more info as I get it, but I won't be doing much desynthing right now since I have both RL work to do, weekend plans, a main story to finish, and a Machinist to level xD

Leveling Crafter classes is fast though - level 51.5 WVR after about 10 minutes of the level 45 leves. It's only 5 leves to get from 50-51. Leveling crafters will help with desynth.... now if only I actually chose to focus my specialties on my desynth classes xD


EDIT: To be clear, the value I will be using for "rlvl" for items over level 41 will be the level at which the item has a 50% chance of successful desynth. This means that you'll have to pay attention to more than rlvl to determine an item's Demimateria drops for level 51+ items, and you'll have to pay attention to more than the recipe's level to determine an item's rlvl for level 51+ items. The 0* level 51 items appear to be "rlvl 115," for instance. For the level listed for the recipe itself, I will now be using "clvl" instead, followed by 0 or more stars. So, c50 items are r50, c50* items are r55, c50** items are r70, c50*** items are r90, c50**** items are r110, and c51 items are r115.

This matters especially for c51+ DoH/DoL equipment. For instance, c53 DoH/DoL equipment is i85 and r125.

My results were much the same as yours:
Agathe Ring of Fending(ilv 115):
BCII(1)(3), Agate(1), Fire Crystal(1), Wind Crystal (1)
Almost always Agate and one crystal of each, with rarely 1 BCII, 3 BCII or a clear demi.


When combining GSM leveling and desynth it seems to be very economic to make your own agate rings and then desynth them.
On top of that of the very high return on the Agate it seems like an incredibly good item for reproducing and desynthing at a higher point in desynth levels, like the Aetheryte ring was.

Ramuh gear confirmed for desynth as well despite not being mentioned in patch notes.

Info on my Desynths so far:

As a Weaver Desynth Level 103, I tried:

* Rainbow Robe of Casting HQ (iLevel 115) - with Quad Materia Meld I had a 40.xx% Chance of Success.
* Skill Up: +0.76!
* Battlecraft Demimateria II x 2
* Lightning Crystal
* Wind Crystal

* Holy Rainbow Cap of Casting HQ (iLevel 115) - with Quad Meld Materia I had a 41% Chance of Success (I got to 104 Skill on previous item).
* Skill Up: +0.54
* Rainbow Thread x 1
* Lightning Crystal
* Wind Crystal

Thanks Nya. So you're just doing the Mor Dhona St. Coinach Leves to level up? Are there other camps with higher level Leves for Crafters right now?

Yeah, at Foundation when you get past the first couple story missions (Temple Leves). Also, when you can unlock Temple Leves, you can also unlock Collectable Synthesis. As far as I could tell before I got locked out for 24h by a login bug, Collectables are just like leves, but you only have one option per level per class, you have to make it yourself, you can do it an unlimited number of times (?), and it gives like 1/4th the exp of a leve (75k at level 51). For GSM, I had Agate Ring of Healing. I bought Agate Rings from the vendor for 11k, broke them down to get Agates (90% chance of getting Agates from them), and then re-crafted them into 75k exp items. The craft itself gave me 18k too, so I wound up getting 93k GSM exp (and ~0.3 GSM dSkill) per 11k spent. So, like, 100k for GSM 50-51 and GSM dskill 116-119. Not bad, imo.

Huh, that means the holy rainbow cap is r120. (21% before the 4*5% from the Materia, 21/1.5=14, 30-14=16, so your dSkill was 16 levels below the rlvl, and 16+104=120.)
